Crossroads | The Supernatural Borderlands

Though a crossroad is simply a place where two or more roads meet, they have a lengthy history within stories of myth and legend. Since Ancient Greece, and maybe long before then, crossroads were seen as portals and borders of where two worlds met such as the natural and supernatural, mortal and immortal, even the living and the dead. This program will discuss some legends of the crossroads, from the Greek goddess Hecate, to the many superstitions surrounding ghosts, to the American legend of Robert Johnson's encounter with the Devil!

Another story about crossing roads are the lay lines. And where those lines cross is where supernatural activity is at its highest.

Right this is the lay lines that run through the nation (UK) through various points like channeling places etc There quite popular with Wicca belief etc I heard a story that they deliberately built churches and other buildings in these places.

It happened in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. When Maurice and his horse: Philippe got lost in the woods, they found themselves at a crossroads. One is foggy and foreboding, and the other is clear and peaceful. Of course, Maurice chose the foggy path that led to the haunted castle of the Beast/Prince Adam.

In Jamaica, there was the myth of the 3 legged horse that galloped the streets at nights. If you meet it on the streets after midnight, you have to reach a crossroad before it does or you will meet your untimely death. If you hear it coming before it sees you, you can always seek refuge in someone else's house, but the door must be locked before it passes by.

Doing, Crossroads, Magical, as can be quite positive. If you want to let go of something you’re holding onto. Some thing that you need to work through or a trauma can stand in the cross roads. See the words out loud to let it go ask your guardians to help you and then what you do is start walking towards the direction that you want to go but don’t look back and just let it dissipate in the elements in the air to the stars or whatever you choose to visualize completely let it remove itself from your body and transformer transmute into elements of nature, positive way, but always look in your path of the direction you’re going don’t look back.

It was said the before Robert Johnson went to the Crossroads, he could not make it as a blues musician. He had no real talent to make it on. But after the Crossroads, overnight he totally changed, and had the talent to make it. I don't know the truth, but amongst the people that knew him, they all noticed the change.

Crossroads can still be dangerous even with the curtain of mystique and legend drawn aside. A couple years back when I was driving to classes a speeding car narrowly missed the front end of my own. It was one of those roads you usually wouldn't take that goes through an urban neighborhood you see once then never encounter again in your normal life. It could've been fatal and to this day I remind myself to come to a full stop at any intersection and look both ways before I go.

Here in the Ozarks are a great number of stories. If you travel the rural dirt roads of what was once known as the "Cullen Township" in middle Missouri. Once there seek a 3 way crossroads near a road side grave. Place a Mullen torch on each road, light them, and perform a ritual. It is said that you can make a request for change in your life, or even the world. It comes with a lesson. You will be made to understand fully what you ask for. If you ask for money; you will be made to understand:Spiritually and emotionally; where that money came from. Some struggle to understand the lesson or refuse to. Careful asking for awareness. Thought I would share a local vague legend. Blessed be to you and yours.

Some superstition holds that it was best to hang a criminal at a crossroads so that the spirit of the dead convict cannot find its way back to civilization and haunt those who executed the person in question. Also, one of the most memorable expressions of reverence for the significance of crossroads is the Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony song, "Crossroads," which is one of the groups most famous and beloved songs.

Ask Hekate which way to go. It’s a no free will thing. Synchronicities guide the way. A cross road always gives you 3 choices but choice is an illusion of the subconscious in spirituality. There’s only 1 choice you were always going to make it. It’s just a lot simpler when you’re in flow 💚

The legends about crossroads always remind me of two things: offerings to orixás and other entities and werewolves. Here in Brazil, some people practice Candomblé and Umbanda, which are religions derived from the Yorubá religion brought by the slave trade; in some rituals people make offerings for entities with the objective of gaining something (fame, fortune, luck, peace, list goes), and in some of these the offerings have to be made at a crossroad, specifically (usually the no good kind, if I remember right). I live near a crossroad so I see these a lot. The other one is werewolves, more specifically the brazilian varitations of the myth. Here a werewolf is usually the unbaptised first male son after 7 daughters (on more rare versions also the 7th son of a 7th son), and after a certain birthday (I think it was 7th, but I'm not sure) the boy will start turning into a werewolf in full moon nights. To break the curse he has to either run through 7 cemiteries, 7 crossroads or both (sometimes it's both + 7 churches), all in a single night.

Note=a car was following me befor or after this/a bike tried crashing me/im pretty sure i made a gang mad by walking into them/the poor city/no covid masks. I did see a grave too in the city. I dont know who. Note=can hyper vigilence/being inside all the time/only be around toxic family do the hullicnations? I did see a shadow person at night too. And heard a wisper right in my ear say"senya."when playing the ps4. (There was a evp on some1s phone for the shadow person/senya in the same house,i did watch a video for 1 hour but somehow only 30 minutes/or reverse on new years or a holiday/vetrigo too/same night when looking up at the stairs,i heard a floating elevator noise too another day,some1/1 dog heard it too/this is all in the house befor the girl on the sidewalk.)
