I really like this simple design! I was able to whip this up in about an hour. It was easy enough to customize it to my pot size as well. I have run out of space on my window ledge for plants, but with this I am able to utilize a wall to hang some ivy. Can't wait to see it grow and cascade down!

Lovely hanger , but its easier to balance the plant without the tassle at the bottom , especially when moving ;) Could always tie a cute charm on the bottom instead

@@OpheliaTalks Sorted, I've made 2 tonight, they look fab, I crocheted the hanging pieces and made a handle with all 3 chains at top. Really pleased with myself. Thanks for this tutorial, can't have too many plant hangers. I have taught myself to do macrame as well fir plant hangers.
Hi I m making this but with dk weight yarn It be fun to see if you did it with different yarn weights too
Do you not add a drip saucer under your plants in case you over water? I've made two but used the drip saucer as my guide instead of pot.

make the base bigger by adding rows until you reach the desired size and then start the side you will have more stitches so you do more repeats of the pattern on the sides! Good luck! Anja xxx

Hello Rosebud27, if you just cut the cord and pull it through the last stitch, you can then run the end off really well to alleviate the knot, Anja x
