Such excellent instructions, was able to make and it turned out great. Great camera work, really helps to see where you are going with the stitches.

After the front and back post instructions I struggled with the peak too as I was unable to work from right to left. In the end, I crocheted the peak in half double crochet and it looks okay. Up to there it was a really clear and straightforward pattern. Thank you.

I just made one for an adult and I just followed the same pattern, but did a ninth row before changing the pattern to all single stitches. It came out to be about a medium size for adults. Hope it works out for you!~

Adult size: to make in adult size there are charts you can find with measurements. Or you can measure the crown area so you know how many increases and rounds you need to make.
