Crochet: How to CJAYG (continuous join as you go) Large Sunburst Hexies (Hexagons)
Hi Everyone!
Today I'm showing you my favourite way to join large sunburst hexies! It's so fast, fun and reqarding. There's less sewing in of ends, you save time and yarn! Lets begin :)
Yarn used in tutorial: Wool of the Andes Worsted in colour Oyster Heather (YARN AFFILIATE LINK: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=143536... )

Hi made a beautiful baby blanket. Thanks❤
You are so helpful thanks so very much ❤️
Very well explained
Thank you SO much for your very detailed explanation. I bought your pattern and it's turning out beautifully. Only thing I noticed is that the problem u refer to at 41:30 about going down... u actually do need to do that for the rows that begin with an hexagon "out" if that makes sense! And for the ones you begin "indented" you do as you did...
🖐 Thanks again!
New to your channel and really love it. I really like this pattern. I watched the first video and am confident and really hope that the join as you go won't give me a complex LOL I'm going to try and have confidence!

You got this!! 🥰💪
Hi there Loving the tutorial, so easy to follow. I’m keen to put a half hexie in the “valleys”. Do you recommend adding them as you go? Love some tips of when to do this? A video would be very good, but I could follow written instruction. Thanks Naz
بسیار عالی
I have a very silly question but do you do all your motifs first and then start joining them. That way you know where to place them and not have the same colors together?
Do you begin and end each row the same way, i.e. indented hexie or outwardly hexie?
This is sooo cool. Thank you. How would you block the hexies though?

I just steam block them flat and they relaxed a lot.
OMG I really want to make this for my Nan in these colours. Do you know where i could get these colours from as im in Australia. I want to make it for my Nan as she has dementia and I think she would absolutely love this blanket. I love yourwork its amazing and you explain things so well for beginners.

Absolutely!! You can get them at crochet.com (they ship to Australia) -but you could also use cascade220 bc they are almost identical yarns and have very similar colours. Also-it’s available almost everywhere so it’s easier to come by ♥️
Is there a pattern for making 1/2 sunburst if you wanted a flat edged blanket?

I think I would be more inclined to make this blanket in separate Hexis and then join them this is too much for me to handle and still enjoy crocheting!

How many hexie do you need to make the blanket ?

Depends how big of a blanket you want, and what yarn type you're using! I'm using Aran cotton yarn, and made 88 hexies (8 hexies x 11 hexies)
Please slow down video thanks

In the top corner there are 3 dots-you can slow down the playback speed from there. Best, M
