Check out this great Power Point Presentation on Teacher's Guide to Classroom Assessments for further understanding www.teacherspayteachers.com/P... found at my TPT store. The purpose of this video is to illustrate the differences between norm referenced, sometimes called norm based assessments, and that of criterion based assessments. These two assessments types are very different, and the video aims to highlight the important differences between the two videos. The video begins by describing the difference in purpose between both criterion and norm based assessments. Next, the way each assessment is graded is differentiated. Norm and criterion assessments are far from each other in terms of the way they are graded. Norm and criterion referenced assessments are differentiated in their testing procedures and testing process. They are also differentiated in number of students tested and assessed. Criterion vs norm based assessments is part of an assessment playlist designed to help educators utilize and improve instruction for all students in their classroom. This video is also very useful for any teachers looking to get a full understanding of both criterion and norm based assessments. Many examples of norm referenced, also known as norm based assessments for educators to get a real feel of the assessment type. Just the same, their are many examples criterion referenced assessment as well.

A student got a score of 25 in a economics achievement test, which is considered low compared with the scores found in the test manual. What kind of interpretation is used?

The first few cross-comparisons are not different. For example, rankings are by their nature always interpretable by percentage.
