Performance based learning and assessment is describe in detail for educators looking to incorporate theses strategies into their school and classroom. Performance based assessments are somewhat different from authentic assessments. Nevertheless, performance based learning is a way of learning that all students deserve to experience throughout their education. Various examples of performance-based assessments and performance based learning are given throughout the video. These examples are just of few examples of many different types that teachers can utilize in their classroom. These types of assessment are great because the performance aspects require students to use higher order thinking skills and a greater degree of cognitive rigor. This particular assessment video is part of a larger assessment playlist. The assessment playlist is there for educators to learn from and try in their classroom.

Hi Frank! I just want to let you know how much I enjoy your videos! I am a teacher and I've learned a lot while teaching. But your videos help me with putting everything together and my knowledge is more organized after watching your videos. I make videos too so I know how much time and effort you have to put in these.

Hello. Myself and many of my undergraduate education students were very taken aback (and offended) by the demeaning drawing of the female teacher in that the graphic was so overtly sexist and had toes pointing together like she was unconfident.

Christi and others, I do not actually draw the images. I have a limited library to choose from when I type in the word teacher. I have three options and I choose the woman for variety. I work very hard at these videos and receive ZERO dollars and refuse to put ads in the videos. A larger video library will cost me over 500 dollars. Would you want me to put ads in the middle of these videos, so I can pay for a $500.00 library that has images that don't offend you???? I just assume to keep this NON-Profit. I mean being "taken aback" and 'offended", might seem like an overreaction to a teacher like myself in a behavior classroom. I had a student spit on me two days ago because I took his computer away, and I was probably less offended than you guys by a drawing. You undergraduates should focus on the bigger problems in education, not this image. But I promise to no longer use this image in my videos. Sorry for Offending everyone. Frank
