He’s not a villain, I can get his POV. He broke his oath to kingsguard and slept with her, in the book he loved her before that. The only way he can gain his virtue back by marrying her and she want him to be her mistress. She is so irresponsible. Sorry not sorry I’m with Ser Criston in this.

or that like with aegons claim, it ultimately comes down to the strength of your support/allegiances. criston was right here. had the crown remained unified the realm would have to accept rhae. it’s not really about the realm and what they want, it’s about who backs their desires and how strong those allies are. no lord or lady would have been stupid to stand against rhaenyra or contest her claim with the full strength of her house behind her. it’s sad because if they were united they could have all prospered as a family but a group of total outsiders with no familial ties or proven loyalty were brought into the fold and those outsiders vied for and made plans to ensure the security and political positions of their line. that’s what truly caused the dance. the targs allowed outsiders to come in and use their relations through law to get close to the family and plant the seeds of dissent and division between the different generations to further their ambitions because in reality the dance did not benefit either faction of the family.

That boar later has descendants that kill BOBBY B!

There's actually no indication that Ser Cristen was a virgin then. Yes he was King's Guard and that means an oath of celibacy, but Cristen was already an adult when he became King's Guard, so it's safe to assume he'd been with a few others growing up (especially since he's from Dawn).

I hate how house of the dragon is portraying Rhaenyra as some kind of hero purely based on the fact she's female. Proper biased and sexist. She isn't a nice person by any means Edit - It seems we have a bunch of morons in the comments okay... *She insults the lords of the realm when they come to offer their proposals *She uses her position of power to make Criston submit into sleeping with her *Tells Daemon to kill Vaemond for trying to rightly take the Velaryon throne from her son who hasn't got a claim *Wants Aemond tortured *Allows Lucerys and Jacerys to attack Aemond with a knife *Doesn't care about her siblings *When Viserys dies she's more concerned with the throne *She has an innocent man killed in place of Laenor *Gaslights Alicent when Rhaenyra's family attacked Aemond HOW IS SHE A GOOD WOMAN??!! SHE ISN'T!! GET A GRIP!

I think it’s just your own psychology speaking to you. The worst thing she does is commit adultery and produce bastards. That’s it. She was named heir, Laenor and her privately legitimised the kids, she fought for the throne. Even after taking Kingslanding she spared Alicent and Helaenas dead’s from the sword. She was willing to forgive the houses that rallied against her as long as they bend the knee. It was even Daemon that did blood and cheese, by the time she knew what was going on they were already in the red keep. Aegon was always known for bedding serving maids and was found on occasion with literal children. He was sick even before the war screwed him up. Even after Rhaenyras death he wanted to kill all her supporters regardless of then bending the knee or not. He enjoyed killing and didn’t hesitate to attack Rhaenys, his own flesh and blood.

Not to mention how they made the greens more sympathetic too. Giving Alicent a backstory and aging her down, adding in Aemonds “bullying” storyline, the greens not leaving Viserys body to rot away for days on end, Alicent defending Rhaenyra when it came to ottos plan to assassinate her, Alicent mistaking the prophecy for Viserys naming he Maegon as heir; Aemond “accidentally” killing Luke, Aegon being a victim of neglect and being abused by Alicent. Come on now.
