He isn’t wrong to mention it. Appointing Ole as the united manager was more of a bad decision than even appointing Rangnick as the interim (considering Rangnick had experience as a manager in Schalke and all, I remember them reaching a ucl semi final when he was the manager)Ole had nothing to suggest he will be a success. Ole got the permanent job based on what happened in paris alone. His record even in that first season after that PSG win was a disaster. Craig keeps mentioning it because he strongly criticised that appointment then and he turned out to be right

It's so convenient for them to forget how he practically carried this sorry team last year, this year he hasn't even been given a good run of games...playing with all these sub-par players and dealing with this shambles of club. These talking heads on ESPN FC are a joke as well...they couldn't even sniff his jock and they're complaining about his airing his grievances...the Glazer's have run this great club to the ground and now it's Ronaldo's fault...and as much as I respect ETH, but winning the Premiere League as opposed as winning the Eredivisie is totally different and he put his faith on Martial, Rashford and Antony...they are nowhere near close to Ronaldo even at this age.

How much more evidence do you need that the team plays better under ETH without him? Fine, he carried a terrible team last year. This year he’s been benched and the team is resurgent. As great as Cristiano has been, he’s on the decline and the team is actually showing signs of life moving on from him. Showing respect is one thing, playing him in a system that can’t use him is another.

  • @jose-marie

Last thing Ten Hag needs is this. I love Cristiano. But he should learn that football isn't always going to rotate around him. And that interview expresses an egotistical, non-compromising Ronaldo. If you love United, you've got to love what's best for the club. And sometimes that means being benched and letting other players contribute. Stop being so selfish. For me this interview is not the nail in the coffin. Nail in the coffin is going to be Portugal, in the World Cup, struggling to score with Cristiano upfront. Maybe then he'll know that the reality is he's aging and can't do everything by himself any longer.

Honestly, I don't see what everybody is surprised about in the Ronaldo affair. I have to wholly disagree with Stevie's comment that he's had a near perfect career. Ronaldo was always a narcissist, and narcissists are toxic by definition. He managed to get his way because he delivered. He was hired to score goals and that's what he did. Players look up to him because of his work ethic, and that's fine. But let's be clear--Ronaldo was always about Ronaldo. He's always been very egotistic. That's what his whole marketing strategy is all about--him, his looks, his performances, his goals, his salary, his girlfriends. He did not leave Madrid on good terms, he did not leave Juve on good terms, and he is not going to leave ManU on good terms. Other players have a lot of respect for him because of his record and work ethics, and I suppose you could say that is a form of leadership, but there are other aspects to leadership where he has been sorely lacking, and one of them is taking responsibility for your own failures. I think he's just having a hard time accepting that his better days are over and he is no longer in the limelight. There is nothing more frustrating than that for a narcissist. And it's showing.

Also wouldn't have Jorge Mendes advisee him on that? I do not see any betrayal. Love Cristiano but everything except what he said about the Glazers is just about his frustration and a diva tantrum. No one is thinking that Ronaldo might be telling lies. The people here are assuming that everything Cristiano said is true only; but he shouldn't have said these things. You can always criticise and whether you should criticise one in that way is the question: he when being a squad player, is criticising in this way! And about the respect, it's a lie. What I understand is that you have to earn respect. It's not like - if you don't respect me, I will not respect you. And he always stopped talking to or ignored the pandits who have criticized him even once. (By the way, these pandits most probably always respected Cristiano for the player he is, but he stopped respecting them).

Yes he said some true and fair points but these quotes aren't acceptable at all; 📍saying Rooney uglier than him (that was soo low. Even a 7 year old shouldn't be saying he's better looking than his mates) 📍saying he disrespects ten hag ( you can't insult your boss publicly in any other working industries) 📍saying ragnick is unknown and trash
