Appointing Ole as the united manager was more of a bad decision than even appointing Rangnick as the interim (considering Rangnick had experience as a manager in Schalke and all, I remember them reaching a ucl semi final when he was the manager)Ole had nothing to suggest he will be a success. How much more evidence do you need that the team plays better under ETH without him? Fine, he carried a terrible team last year. This year he’s been benched and the team is resurgent. As great as Cristiano has been, he’s on the decline and the team is actually showing signs of life moving on from him. Showing respect is one thing, playing him in a system that can’t use him is another.

Last thing Ten Hag needs is this. I love Cristiano. But he should learn that football isn't always going to rotate around him. And that interview expresses an egotistical, non-compromising Ronaldo. If you love United, you've got to love what's best for the club. And sometimes that means being benched and letting other players contribute. Stop being so selfish. For me this interview is not the nail in the coffin. Nail in the coffin is going to be Portugal, in the World Cup, struggling to score with Cristiano upfront. Maybe then he'll know that the reality is he's aging and can't do everything by himself any longer.

Honestly, I don't see what everybody is surprised about in the Ronaldo affair. I have to wholly disagree with Stevie's comment that he's had a near perfect career. Ronaldo was always a narcissist, and narcissists are toxic by definition. He managed to get his way because he delivered. He was hired to score goals and that's what he did. Players look up to him because of his work ethic, and that's fine. But let's be clear--Ronaldo was always about Ronaldo. He's always been very egotistic. That's what his whole marketing strategy is all about--him, his looks, his performances, his goals, his salary, his girlfriends. He did not leave Madrid on good terms, he did not leave Juve on good terms, and he is not going to leave ManU on good terms. Other players have a lot of respect for him because of his record and work ethics, and I suppose you could say that is a form of leadership, but there are other aspects to leadership where he has been sorely lacking, and one of them is taking responsibility for your own failures. I think he's just having a hard time accepting that his better days are over and he is no longer in the limelight. There is nothing more frustrating than that for a narcissist. And it's showing.

Because they finished 2nd without him and then finished 6th with him scoring all those goals. Haaland scoring all those goals and City not in top. Arsenal have no crazy goal threats but are still on top. United lost 5 games this season and Ronaldo played in 4 of them. It’s clear they play worse when he’s on the pitch because they play to feed him, not to win which is a terrible recipe for the future. ETH is doing great with Ronaldo on the bench and Ronaldo had an amazing career but he needs to realize, he’s not on that level anymore.

Reports yesterday in the UK were that Utd are speaking to lawyers. That only means one thing. They're looking in to whether they have grounds to sack him, ie. he goes without any pay-off, bonuses etc. If it turns out they can, expect it to be done by Friday.

@@BruceLee1.0 That's the point of the lawyers. They'll be looking at whether they have grounds to actually 'sack' him. If they do, he won't get a penny. If they have to pay him, that's a mutual termination, not a sacking.

If I were Manchester United, I would keep Ronaldo and let him stay home for half a year. Its his own decision to not be part of the team, doesn't mean he can just go to another team. That's what Ronaldo is looking for, a way out. He possibly is paying with a half season. You should not give in on someone who is trying to achieve something by betraying the football club. Ronaldo's ego must be tempered for once. Ronaldo thinks he is playing the game smart, but he is stuck in the contract. Ronaldo should pay of his contract if he wants to leave.

@@somebodyelseuk well i think everything is in the hand of how this WC will turn out for Ronaldo. I don't see Portugal winning it but if they and Big IF!! Than that's a different thing but if Portugal had a bad WC along with a bad performance from ronaldo who is 37 hmmm... honestly Ronaldo will leave and he should. Good for both sides and I don't know if they could terminate but united could do what Barca were trying to do. But it is Ronaldo. So united doing that to Cristiano will create more chaos and the focus will be only on Ronaldo not the team. So not a good idea but let's see

There is a video on KZread where Ronaldo and Bruno shake hands, but Bruno makes it quite obvious how he feels about what Ronaldo has done.

honesty dalot is the biggest ronnie fanboy ive ever seen, so no dramas there, theirs even footage of cris and dalot training and smiling tgt. Bruno on the other hand a different story, and rightly so, bruno is a team player at heart, he bleeds red devils and is well within his right to be angry with cris (as per the recent video)
