Thanks for your relaxing videos! I don't have an opportunity to be somewhere off the beaten track and enjoy the nature, but I can experience it vicariously through your channel!

One of my favorite camping 'cooks' was a marinated steak cooked directly on coals that had been burned for hours and broken down to just a smooth bed of tiny orange coals. Believe it or not the coals don't stick to the meat! Only 2-3 minutes per side and it's done! AMAZING!~

Another great forest meal, and building a little infrastructure to your forest kitchen by hanging some cooking utensils is a elegant solution to carrying them to the site each time. Brilliant! Loved hearing the wildlife and crunchy steps, and seeing all the tracks. Very peaceful, thanks for sharing.

when i saw you bust out the platanos maduros my heart skipped a beat. this was my daddy’s favorite meal, god rest his soul.

Great cooking, love that fish!!!

When l was a kid back in Cuba my very favorite side dish was ripped plantains fried. Same as you did. If you go ever to a Cuban restaurant just ask for maduros, and they will serve you that, because still a very popular side dish nowadays for us Cubans. About the rice, you cooked it with coconut grease and coconut water. That's probably a Dominican recipe, but there are some other Caribbean cuisines that cook the rice that way. The fish roasted over pineapple a very interesting idea. Maybe you should open your own dinner or restaurant in the wilderness some day. With grill included. Wishing you many good things and success in this 2022.

In the mountains of Virginia pineapples grow on pine trees but only on the left side of the creek you really have to search for them but I promise you, you'll find them.

Love your videos! You've inspired me to start making some videos as well. Hope they're as good as yours. When my parents passed away a few years ago, my twin sister and I were only 21, and ended up moving to Michigan (rural Michigan) to live with my aunt and uncle. After grieving, we quickly grew acustomed to rural country life, and we absolutely love it. I'll never go back to LA, or any other big city for that matter. We have 64 acres, we grow food, we have livestock, we hunt, we fish, it was all new to me, but my sister and I are thriving like never before. We both work our land, and we both work at a neighboring farm. The only thing I've had trouble with, is the Bulls. Due to lack of experience, I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time, and was squished by a 1700lb Highland Bull, he ran past me, and squished me up against a barn door! Holy heck that was intense, powerful animals, I had two ribs fracture from that incident. Just thought I'd share a bit about my experiences living a rural country life, from a city girl perspective. I wish anyone who wanted to could live this way. Best way to live! Cheers Heidi!

I'm sorry to feel your loss. I used to live in rural west Michigan close to the lake almost a year ago, love the seasons, nice people, nature and the small population density... I went back to my island because personal health reasons and not being able to connect with people and was completely alone after a treason. Miss the winter white beaches and the woods, wish i could go back some times... ❤️ your life now sound amazing working in a farm with animals! Best life for sure!

Hi Kiddo. One more beautiful video masterpiece from you. No talking but the video says volumes without one word being spoken, except for the utterance escaping your mouth when you tasted your excellent cooking. We moved to Florida a decade ago after living six decades in Pennsylvania, to escape the cold for health reasons, but I still miss the northern woodlands so much my heart aches at times. Your videos take me back home again. Thank You Very Much!!!!!
