    Next time, slide the pancake onto a plate, then with 1 hand underneath the plate, cover the plate with the skillet (like a lid) & flip the plate onto the skillet.. basically you've just gone from skillet as the lid over the plate to plate over the skillet as the lid.. and that's the sure & safe way to flip a large pancake/omelette 😉

    Lee and Jeremy, in MOST pancake recipes one is caution not to mix the batter too vigourously to prevent the formation of gluten. Is that not a concern or is some gluten needed for the pancake structure?

  • @SchoolofWok

    @SchoolofWok

    4 жыл бұрын

    The batter is thin enough that it's not really too much of a concern here - Lee

    Why did you put the egg last ? And not mix it in the actual batter with the flour ?

  • @SchoolofWok

    @SchoolofWok

    4 жыл бұрын

    We put the egg over the top so it gave us streaks of egg on top of the pancake! If it was in the batter, you wouldn't know it was there - Lee

    @@SchoolofWok Hi Jeremy, in the print version of the recipe you put the egg into the batter. What´s the better way ?
