Asking Cohen if he is an honest person after he admitted what he did and served jail time would be the last thing the defense should ask because it opens up cohen to respond with I’ve done a lot of bad things, I’ve been held accountable for them and I’m sitting up here on the stand unlike others. That’s not something the defense wants to open up to rebuttal and readdress. Mr. Cohen you are here under oath are you not, you served time for your crime, did everyone in your indictment get charged or sentenced, no, were others named or referenced in your indictment as participating in your crimes? They never have to name Duhnold to make it clear he was involved and Cohen’s honesty isn’t the issue, the evidence presented that supports what he has said is all that matters.

Markus is wrong about a number of things. First, he is wrong that the prosecution is dependent on cohen to win the case. Cohen is important, but if they win, it’s the documents, not cohen, that wins the case. Second, Markus says cohen is the prosecution’s last witness. He doesn’t know that, as there may be others. Third, he says MAL is a complicated case. Totally wrong, other than CIPA rules, it’s not any more complicated than a drug buy and bust case in which the defendant is caught red handed with the drugs. Really poor analysis by Markus.

Cohen is there to verify the documents that relates to payments, communications, conversations, etc. that relates to Trump's involvement and culpability in this case. Well the problem is Trump's accountant of over 30 years stated that he picked the category of legal fees.. Stormy Daniels attorney stated she negotiated with Cohen on the NDA and never met or talked to Donald Trump.. nothing stormy had to say has any relevance to the case, at all except to show she's an extortionist who needed to get her career back on track and needed to settle before the election in the event that Trump lost.... that is no way shows she's trying to bring forth an accusation of sexual impropriety for any other reason than for money other than that great post

Cohen's perjury has nothing to do with this case. He committed perjury to a congressional committee regarding the number of times he had called contacts with Russian Oligarchs for a Trump Moscow building. I believe he said three instances and it was actually ten times. When Cohen got investigated by the DOJ , all this DJT related stuff got out of the bag. Follow the money trail led to DJT, AMI etc... Cohen pleaded guilty to eight charges, two were for his part of federal campaign finance violations related to this current DJT case. Michael Cohen has already testified for the grand jury and probably gave depositions as well. He can't be tried twice for the same crime. David Pecker had immunity for Cohen's trial in 2018 and it's still honored.
