Nowadays, it's safer to go to the building instead of online(eg:CPF branch or POSB branch). And, the police will never call you if you commit a crime. They will directly knock on your door and look for you

How are they going to track him down? Overseas, they have no jurisdiction to do anything. Even if they have an identity, they have to rely on cooperation from the appropriate police in the country to arrest that person and then have to extradite him to the country.
