Football only encourages limited talents. Cricket encourages wider range of talents. Football's talents basically had to do with the quickness of the feet and kicking the ball. In cricket, one can be a batsman (either left handed or right handed). As for bowlers in cricket, there are different types of bowling. One can be fast bowlers (either left handed or right handed), spin bowlers (either left handed or right handed), etc. Some people are excellent fielders while there are others who are excellent wicket keepers. So cricket encourages wide ranger of talents. In cricket, one can also place a runner if one has difficulty in running while batting. I remember a kid who couldn't play football since he had difficulty in running. But he was an excellent batsman and he had a runner running for him.

I'm new to football. I've noticed that football matches are not interrupted by rain unlike cricket. I've watched some matches being played in the rain and on a wet outfield. Why is that so? Help me understand as I'm new to the game. However I've been following cricket since 2005.

As someone who was a hardcore cricket fan in childhood but now watches no cricket at all except the world cups cricket ka diklat ye hai ki matches bahut time consuming hai. Even matches in the shortest format of cricket take upto atleast 4 hours of a day. Football main extra time (woh bhi sirf knockout rounds main hi use hota hai) aur sab milakar bhi rarely match 2.5 hours ka ho pata hai. Haan woh alag baat hai aaj kal time wasting ke liye bahut zyada additional time at the end of half add kar rahe hai.

Thank god to our saviour Sony Sports Network they are literally providing us a platform to watch football matches. Still they can't show every single football match! Honestly speaking, I have been a cricket fan since long, started watching back 15-16 yrs ago. But I love football, that sport somewhat attracts me man, like watching 2010 WC and all engages me literally, so in India if we can encourage cricket then in football also we can dominate,as we're blessed to be a country of 1.3B fans togetherly can shock the world with both FOOT and BALL. Respect to Drog Baba for bringing this also to football we should encourage, a wave is required in dual sporting interests.

Before 2019 I was a die hard cricket fan and watched football but only occasionally. But since 2019 I started watching football and I can say I don't watch cricket nowadays , only barring some big games or series. And Given Indian cricket team's worst performances recently, I can say Cricket is going nowhere but downhill where as Indian football is on the rise. We will be witnessing a change for sure
