I've got a Seat Concept seat on my CRF250L. I got the kit and used the original seat base. It's brilliant. I'm 5'10", 31 inch lnside leg, 80kgs, 63 yrs old.... just for reference. The seat is comfy enough for a couple of hours on the road. You do notice it when you first stand up as it's a little wider at the front ( and a lot at the back), but it is not invasive.

Hi Mr Fish. I had the same dead battery in my AT. In the end I charged it up using an old car battery charger that charged it from 2 volts to 12 volts. Then I swapped over to the Optimiser and it recovered it just fine. Have fun mate 😎👍

The "Seat Concepts" Seats are fantastic. The question is always to I want the comfort or the standard. For you I would say get the tall standard. It has the comfort of the comfort. The tall comfort will feel like a sofa for your bum compared to the stock seat.

I sent my Beta Alp seat to Tom Hurley Custom Seats in Bathgate ( between Edinburgh and Glasgow). Sent a photo of a Seat Concepts and told him to make it like that. £250 later, and it’s gone from a wooden plank to all day comfortable 👌

Best seat mod for me for comfort has been just a simple what looks like fishnet stocking on your seat. Cool covers are great, take the pressure points away.£500 on a battery why! . Yuasa last about four years on average and with trickle charger fire up every time.

Had the same trouble with my GSA, bmw told me it was my data tool tracker & said they would check it . They said to rip it out as they always give trouble. So bmw give me a lithium battery at £400 to fit , well twice as the give me the wrong size first time. Fitted it , but wouldn’t start . Got it recovered, so they had it for 2mts trying to find what was wrong. They eventually said it wasn’t the tracker , so they were waiting for a lithium battery to come , I said just stick an ordinary battery in it as it’s a heavy bike so wait saving doesn’t matter to me . Also I told Datatool what bmw said . So after the bike being back for a few weeks I noticed the tracker was still placing the bike in bmw so asked datool why , they got back & said they test it & the unit is now faulty . I ask how much is that going to cost me as I’d just paid the subscription. The told me the unit was under warranty & would send a new one to be fitted by bmw .

You need to disconnect the battery from the bike and use the correct optimate lithium charger to recover it. Connect charger to battery and then plug the charger into the socket. I had same issue a few times when I forgot to plug the charger into my twin. Battery recovered every time

516 pounds for a battery! Get rid of the Datatool. Great space, that garage. You've got four interesting Hondas in it: 125cc, 250cc, 471cc and 1100cc. I like little bikes, but I like big ones, too. Some rain in England from dry, for now, northern Thailand. Nick

@@Mrfish2015 I would try and run the tracker off a separate battery. Save killing the main one. Make the other battery only connect to the bike when the ignition is on.

Ah, not one of Datatool's trackers is it? I had one fitted for "free" on my NC750X and it was draining the battery to nothing within two weeks. Don't take any BS from Datatool, as it is 100% their fault and they know it! Despite Datatool corporate saying to the contrary, their engineers know that they have a problem. Mine still drains the battery even though I told them to switch it off their end, and the only way to stop it is full removal. A bit silly, really. My bike only has a gel battery, so was much cheaper to replace. I now have it permanently hooked up to a battery tender when not in use. Hopefully you get a better result, but unless you really need that built in tracker I would really suggest removing it if that is offered to you, though!

Ah, sorry Fish, I didn't even think about the insurance requiring one fitted and active on an high value bike.. Insurance companies stopped giving me a discount for my tracker after the first year, so I didn't see the point of paying out half the value of my insurance on it. Would rather pay that money for insurance on a second bike.. 😉😆
