Justo one cord amazing!

I came within a cat's whisker of going to Vietnam in 1968 but I didn't get out of the service unscarred (long story). This song draws me back again and again and I still get chills when I think about my experience and how it affected and often devastated or killed so many others around me. I tuned to a radio station 10 years ago and come in on the middle of a song, and I'm thinking 'I know that song, what is it?'. Suzy Q at a length I didn't know existed, then I found out it was CCR and I was hooked. Although the songs are the same songs from 40+ years ago, I love the way Stu and Doug brought the kids in to made the songs their own. Great stuff!

Yes it did sound good but there own don't think so ccr will always be John. Damn shame that write and can't play your own music without going to court because because others just ride the wave

Still sounds good after all these years. The original was on their Cosmo's Factory LP in 1970. It was only about 3:08 minutes long. I always wished they had done a long version of this song. This will do. Sounds great.

I saw them in concert with out JOHN, they gave a hella of a performance, came back four times...they Rock.

I can't wait to see them this summer. I'm only 34. I'm convinced I was born in the music era. I absolutely love Creedence

Elliot Easton's solo make this song come alive even more. Wow! What a solo - truly psychedelic. Keeping with the time it was created. I love the original but man, this version smokes!!! I must have heard this version 60 times since I discovered it 3 days ago and I still can't get enough.

Better than the original Fogerty versions, but I miss John's growly vocals!

I love this version of this great song, great guitar solo and I like the harmonica as well.

What a GREAT version of this tune! Clifford and Cook are rock steady--afterall, they have been playing this stuff for over 40 years and Easton has brillant lead work that surpasses the very good leads of Fogerty. I would love to see them exchange lead guitar work--I think that would be interesting. Great work "CCRevisited"!

Elliot Easton of the Cars on that lead guitar....Those lefties can really play....

wow. I like this version better than Fogerty's recent ones. He just plays em like right off the record...nothing diff, nothing inspired. This song, like many of CCRs are MADE for jammin' and extending and adding to the original versions.

I see both sides.......musically these guys are superior to the backing bands Fogarty has. But he did write EVERYTHING, he was CCR creatively speaking. Just imagine him with these guys backing him up. Egos are a terrible thing.

GREAT GREAT version

Love this band ...with Clifford on drums and Cook on bass they manage to achieve what Fogerty never has !!.....The groove that made Creedence such a great band !!....Who gives a damn if the guy don't sing JUST like Fogerty !!.....And Eliot Easton plays the solos better and breathes more life into them far more than the originals !!

Totally agree... never thought it would be that good without Fogerty. It's the rhythm section of CCR that makes the difference

The concert at Cypress Bayou Casino in Charenton , LA...was AWESOME.....but missed one thing.....we were waiting to hear RUN THROUGH THE JUNGLE....and they DID NOT perform that one......:( other than that ....it was AWESOME E

A more patient tempo and Eliot's Oar-House-in-'69 leads made Revisited a bit more of a groove band than Revival was, actually. (Saw 'em twice. Was NOT disappointed.)

the original tuning is just like standard tuning- just a full step lower. (DGCFAD) The tuning you're talking about is an open tuning, and John has never used that.

Hardest working band in show business, to borrow a quote from CSNY.

Well here's to all the critics. Mick Jagger once said that the main components to a great rock band are the drum and bass players. Doug Clifford and Stu Cook were those components in the original CCR band. Doug plays those tom-toms like no one else and Stu always layed down a great bass rhythm to compliment John Fogerty's guitar playing. John on his own has never been quite able to duplicate the success of Creedence. I guess it's like the Beatles saga, another great rock band dis-membered.

It's the One that say's "Bad Mo Fucker ! On it Haha CCR.

That was a bad way to say it, it was John who started to give ultimatums.

They ROCK with or without John!!!

I know this song about Vietnam but CCP should make a song about Run Through The Desert about whats happening still this song is a great song

I preferred this version than John Fogarty the vocal just perfect for the song

guitar is tuned to DADGBD like CCR original.

The guitar is more Cars than CCR.

I don't know if anyone cares to hear my perspective but I was born in '93 and this is the first version of CCR I ever heard. If you can swallow that concept, understand my disappointment when discovering how original CCR never comes close to this level of musicianship

It's not john. It's a coverband

It took two people to "replace" John Fogerty. It's like Ringo's All Star Band being called Beatles Revisited. Good, but not the real thing. Cook and Clifford bombed as creative artists though they are decent rock musicians.

Ok that was not john singing but that did look like ccr's drummer what the hell

@classicrockNo1 Nope ordered the CD via amazon...couple days i'll get a listen. U know one of the arguments one hear too often is "not the original guy/gal/band. with that sort of "thinking" one would be never be able to hear mozart...he being dead and all. "Not the original guy." Few things piss me off more than conservative, set-in-their ways rockNrollers. Things change (most often for the better), deal with it!
