Hi, Norrine! Love this video. I found a box with a hinged lid and a hole drilled in it for my bedroom and all our chargers at a thrift store. It was already painted a color that worked in my room. It was a lucky day! Now I have to replace my surge protector because it doesn’t have enough room anymore. We just have to keep updating our solutions. Can’t wait for the Wednesday video! 😊🌺💕

Great find on that box!!! And, so true with things needing updating! My old kitchen had one plug. ONE! But, the the 1940's when it was built, who needed plugs in the kitchen?? Now, newer kitchens have plugs every few feet!! I wonder what things will look like in 40 years... Thanks for checking in!
Another great idea!!!

Brilliant! I can't bear cord mess. I've finally learned that having anything in lidded boxes (which was the solution I came up with that failed) does not work for me, but I like to have things out of sight. This is perfect for me, thank you! You've sold me on the brad gun, Norrine. I'd really love a tutorial on cutting wood for us absolute beginners who don't have the slightest bit of experience of woodworking. I've smelled wood, that's the full extent of my knowledge in full-size woodwork (miniature woodworking does not count). I'd really like to know the quickest, easiest, safest tools and techniques.

Thanks Norrine! I made one to hide my sister's cable router. I printed out a free book spine template I found and glued it to cereal box cardboard and then made some sides with heavier cardboard to hold it up. No one can tell. You could take a picture of some books and use a color printer to print it too.

Old Reader’s Digest condensed books are a great source for hardcovers you can repurpose. You don’t have to feel bad about ruining a good book. You might be able to find them for a cheap deal in a thrift store or garage sale.
@Beruthiel45

That's a good idea. My older son and daughter in law paid a crafting person to fold the pages of two of those books so that when they're standing up vertically with the pages facing out, one says Mom and the other says Dad. They're usually quite nicely bound too so they look attractive on a shelf. 👍😊

You don’t need books. You just need to find book covers and copy them and print them out (so you will always have the original). Then wrap them around edges of Mac and cheese boxes (each box should give you two book spines). If Mac and cheese boxes don’t work, measure them and look for food sources such as cereal that fit. Perhaps you can add the part of a paper towel tube to the edge of the box to give it the rounded edge of the spine.

Great ideas, I will definitely be using a lot of them, thank you for sharing. BTW, a suggestion with regard to the top and bottom notes on the wood, maybe a better option would be to use a piece of masking tape and write the notes on that, much easier to remove 😉

Check your local library the ones here have low cost or free outdated books. Today's Quote: "Throw KINDNESS around like Confetti." Remember books in the places like thrift stores, Goodwill or library, if they don't get sold they go to landfills. So are you giving these books New Life and the pages you cut off are great to use to decoupage with. Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞

So cute! Is it sturdy with just the two pieces like that? Could you screw a couple of angled shelving rack brackets in the corners to hold them steady? I think everything is expensive!!! 😆 We got it during Black Friday, so it was $40 off the normal price. If you don't have any of the tools, it will be a bit more, because you will need to buy the battery and charger. But it's usually around $100. Ryobi runs specials often with 'starter' kits! You get a drill, charger, battery, a case, and sometimes some bits for about $100 - that is a GREAT deal.

Could you please share the info on the Ryobi? My husband got me two for Christmas but one is so big I can’t use it, the smaller requires two hands.
