Here is a review of the Creative Master Northcord Alexander Dennis ALX400 Trident double decker bus model in the Stagecoach in Swindon livery which is numbered as 18450 (VU06KFO) in the "Route 55" branding. The model is based on the batch of 2006 Dennis Trident Alexander ALX400 buses which 2006 was the final year for the ALX400 carbody which was superceeded by the more futuristic "Enviro 400" carbody which is now a common sight in most parts of the UK. The model has impressive detail inside and out and also has an opening engine compartment door at the rear with a nicely modelled engine that is the Cummins ISB(e) type normally coupled to a 4 speed Voith automatic gearbox. There is the etched wipers and wing mirrors as well that are stadard features on these high detailed replica models. The model is made to 1:76 scale so it would fit in well with most model railways that are set in the same or similar era. Just for those are interested in what these buses sound like in real life. I have some footage onboard 18501 (VU06KFP) that I did in 2012 as these vehicles have coach seats in them.
