Obrigado. Fico no aguardo.

    wanna talk about the 12V rail transformed into car ligther plug and then back to 5V while there is a 5V rail available already on this ? Or about how dangerous those old shitty PSU are ? Or the bad ground soldering on the right converter ? I also hope that fuse is 12V 10A and not 240V...

    Hint: Take advantage of the existing fixed 3V, 5V and 12V by putting banana jacks for those as well. You don't always need variable voltages, but you will always need 3,5, or 12V For example you can power a microprocessor with 5 volts, and then use a variable voltage to test ADC inputs response.

    @Sheila Walker Just out of curiosity: how would you use those? Are they somehow provided via the ATX-plug?

  • @itsmeadude460

    @itsmeadude460

    Жыл бұрын

    @Sheila Walker I was actually curious how he could use "...the voltage and current sense of the power supply..." by just using the cables going to the ATX-plug... Agreed that some things I would have done differently, like labelling a 12V car-outlet socket as 5V, because you intend to plug a USB-converter into it or GND & housing... Also you can get some nice standard voltage values by e.g. using -12V and +12v -> 24V. I like his idea of hooking up an adjustable DC-DC converter. All in all an old PC switching PSU does not really deliver "crude and un-monitored" electricity though - maybe it's a bit diluted at the output of the adjustable DC-DC converter, but for standard values like 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 24V I'd go for the clean PSU output. Cool idea with the LED test - lots to learn there ;)

    By cutting the wires off of the connectors you'd have the 3, 5, and 12 volts out. Group them in parallel by color and feed them to the rest of the circuitry, You wouldn't even have to open the computer power supply - just use it as is.

    A lot of great ideas in this video !! the best : use a trimer behind a standard potentiometer with a removed stopper to have a multi-turn potentiometer, and use the glue and the sodium bicarbonate this way : put only a few drops of super glue, add the bicarbonate all along the corner, and only after add a lot of glue to consolidate !! Congratulation !
