Can't be done... To double voltage you sacrifice half the amps, overall current / wattage, is the same. A **200 welder is usually the biggest welder that runs off 220-240v but that would need a 15 AMP outlet also. Sorry but your going to have to get a 3 phase supply. It would be possible to build a 3 phase generator that could power your welder with a small car engine and number of modified alternators, and a very heavy duty inverter, but thats an extreme skill level project, and far from a handy man diy thing. Be careful taking instructions from videos... these projects are really only conceptual (basic principles ) for example, the spot welding of battery tabs, if those batteries were in active condition they would have exploded in his face, the current was way to high and time on is critical, and these factors vary between brands and quality of nickel strip. Also his placement of the electrodes was VERY wrong!! if i see a 3 phase fairy ill send em your way... l hate not being able to use my good gear too LOL

The welding project is very quetioanble. It is doubtful the secondary winding will work; too few windings and the insulation will prevent enough induction. In operation if the probes stick the transformer will burn out. The timing of contact is critical - usually around 10 msec which is very difficult to accomplish. Then different thicknesses of the strip requires different contact duration. Good luck with that. Overall this is somethig of a fraud.

I save all old microwaves especially the ones that have a steel rack inside. I have one transformer that I scrapped out of a radiation room from an old hospital that is in a stainless steel box which looks like an electrical fuse panel but this thing has a transformer in it that will weigh around 100 US Pounds. I want to make something really cool with it, I live on White River in North Arkansas, USA. I can anchor a pontoon and add paddles without GOV intrusion. I have studied this for way too long and haven’t come up with a reasonable use for this on a River without any substantial fall and continual fluctuation due to elec generation from several dams upstream, Any ideas involving any kind of use for this water will be greatly appreciated, I’ll partner someone with a good idea because if I can generate, or use the 56 Degree Water for cooling (The water averages 56 degrees because it flows under the dams for generation, we have world record trout caught way more than is reported since they grow year round and us locals don’t care to advertise unless we want to guide some rich person to catch Hugh trout) we can sell a system to every homeowner along the River because you can moor a pontoon without a dock license and getting a dock license is a pain in my back!

Overall this is something of a fraud.

For the first invention of this video is impossible! How can you connect high AC volt to secondary winding of microwave's transformer?

Making a connection like that is easy... explaining to the Mrs is where you need magic. But seriously, it was the primary he connected to. They are a step UP transformer.

@@mrgoodman6620 I agree 100% with your first statement. LOL I'm sure the Mrs. won't be very happy with that guy when she tries to use her micro wave oven and discovers it won't work because he cut out the transformer. LOL I'd love to be a 'fly on the wall' during that 'conversation' or should I say 'yelling match'. LOL

Необходимо удалить магнитные шунты. Трансформатор от микроволновки расчитан на завышенную индукцию, т. к. используется кратковременно. Что бы он не перегревался при длительном использовании надо доматывать первичку.
