Creative Grids® 12in Skinny Pineapple Trim Tool

Create perfect 6, 9, or 12 inch finished Pineapple blocks by squaring up each round of strips as they are sewn. Since each round is squared up before the next set is added, the blocks are perfectly square. The cutting requirements for the strips and center square are printed right on the tool.
The widths of the logs finish to 3/4-inch so even a six-inch block looks impressive. Add four more rounds to complete a 9-inch finished pineapple. Add four more rounds to complete a 12-inch finished block. It really is that easy, and accurate.
It slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts! The tool comes with fully illustrated step by step instructions or scan the QR Code printed on the tool to view a video demonstration.
Want to make smaller pineapple blocks? The Mini Pineapple Trim Tool (Item CGRJAW3MINI) creates 4, 5 and 6 inch finished blocks with 1/2-inch logs.
The original Pineapple Trim Tool (CGRJAW3) creates 6, 8 and 10 inch finished blocks with 1-inch logs.

“ Oh, look , Mom!! Another tool for the family!” 😂😂 I absolutely love these rulers. So great for those scrap buckets that never seem to have a bottom! I am so thankful to all of these designers for sharing their brilliant ideas. So excited to see what’s next! Happy quilting! 🧵
Gut dargestellt. Mir gefällt die ruhige Stimme.
I appreciate that you showed each round. Many pineapple block tutorials only show rounds one, two and three. Leaving a big question mark in my mind as to how to deal with the angled rounds that occur after round 4. Thank you!
Thanks. I have this tool collecting dust. Maybe I can finally use it!
Maria, you did a superb job explaining and demonstrating how to use Creative Grids' Mini Pineapple Trim Tool, which Jean Ann Wright designed. To my surprise, I fully understood your instructions and feel confident I could follow them. Beforehand, I found Pineapple Blocks intimidating. Thank you!!!

We are beyond thrilled to hear this!
Thank you for really explaining the need to trim twice on the last round before adding the triangles. Your explanation was excellent as was the demonstration of using the ruler. Thanks
I’m soooo excited to see this ruler!!! I certainly love the fabrics used here in the tutorial too. Beautiful colors and explained so well! Thank you so much Creative GridsUSA!!! ❤️
I recently finished a 2-color quilt using the Pineapple Trim Tool, and it was a lot of fun to make, and turned out beautiful. I can never have enough ways to use scraps, so I'm getting this one because I love the skinny strips.
Thank you for explaining in detail how to use the ruler as well as showing each round!
This looks awesome! I already have the 10" Pineapple Ruler and it's amazing. Perfect Pineapples *every* time. So excited to get the 12" Skinny. Just ordered it from Missouri Star Quilt Co.
Such a beautiful pineapple quilt block. Thank you for sharing your time with me.
I love this! Would be perfect for all my scraps! 🍍

any plans on a rotating/spinning cutting mat? that woulda been handy here.
love it i have the tool but this explains how it can be used .i learn from seeing not reading lol
I don't understand all the waist created with all the trimming. Make the pieces as they should be in there beginning. HST's (half square triangles)and would work more efficiently.

A Pineapple quilt is usually something that uses scraps. I am ok with a little waste of scrap fabric, especially if I get a nice accurate square block at the end of the process.
If the strip ends up being 3/4” why do you need to use 1 1/2” strips. Wouldn’t 1 1/4” strip work as well?
Wann kommt dieses TrimmTool mit 12 Inch nach Deutschland????
Me too
If the strips end up at 3/4” why wouldn’t you use a 1 1/4 inch strip? The ruler calls for 1 1/2 inch strips.

Thought so too and tried it with 1 1/4“ strips instead of the 1 1/2“ strips the instructions are calling for. It kind of works, but not really. It’s a bit annoying, and the strips are too narrow to work with the ruler. Definitely try it on one block first before cutting strips for a whole quilt if you want to give it a go. My test block turned out a bit wonky, there just wasn’t enough „flesh“ to square up properly in each round. Hope this helps someone ❤
