About Morey Croson and The Performance Lab of California:
My name is Morey Croson, founder of The Performance Lab of California. Over the last 5 years, through our teaching of proper biomechanics, we have been able to help people of all ages with their athletic performance, prevent and rehab injuries, and most importantly get the results that our clients are looking for. By using the newest technology, we are able to assess, target, and apply our knowledge to help you perform at a higher level without experiencing any pain. Our main focus is to find the cause of any weakness or injury and strengthen that area through a series of treatments and exercises. The Performance Lab of California has established itself as one of the top sports performance companies in Southern California.
The Performance Lab of California provides an in-depth analysis of movement from throw, swing, jump or lift. Here is an example of how in depth we look at how to create maximum velocity and speed.

Hey Morey I was wondering if you can give me advice. When I throw my elbow is always aligned with my shoulder, and because of that my release point is far out (like Daniel Jones) making my passes look bad you always say keep it closer. When I load to 90 and I start to get into my throwing sequence my elbow drops making my throws bad, and preventing me from getting full power. I’m sorry it’s hard to explain but if you could help me out I would be so thankful

I believe studies have shown the vast majority of force production in elte sprinting is vertical and the horizontal is only a small component of the overall force component. Obviously the legs have to move very very fast in the crossover.

The only way to develop greater mass specific ground force with the feet is to get stronger. If you have to think about mechanics and how to apply force, you are slow.

Your right sometimes good mechanics is just a by product of being slow. I notice there isn't enough trainers talking about how to get ripped to run fast. The vast marjority of the population don't even have a body like a sprinter if they went to the gym 24/7 without drugs. Therefore how can you get fast if you don't even have the muscle and low body fat in the first place. Most trainers are just gifted with students with freakish genetics that they don't learn to make athletes ripped freaks like Bruce Lee. Even at the top level you can still improve upon how ripped you get. Look at Justin Gatlin he looks a bit chubby.

@@Performancelabofcalifornia Hard work can certainly beat talent, but in sprinters, there is an inherent genetic factor. The most recent studies show that world-class sprinters especially Usain Bolt, hit the ground with such force that their knees rise higher than slower sprinters. But concentrating on getting high knees mechanically will slow all sprinters down. Track coaches preach all these mechanics to make it look like they know what they're doing to get the big bucks but it's mostly just a waste of time and energy for the sprinter.

@@aandrus3972 Good point. They say fake it until you make it doesn't always work with sprinting. You can't pretend good form sometimes good form is just an expression of how physically strong you are. I think I finally understand the meaning of good form. For example if you get your arm to do single punches your fastest daily without doing any weights or any resistance you will notice you will get faster doing it. This is most likely the same with your legs. However you don't want to side kick with your legs to get faster cause that doesn't match the biomechanics of running. Therefore you train things like A skip, B skip. butt kicks, fast leg etc. The focused effort in a single motion of moving your faster makes you faster. By breaking down the problem form becomes more important. However this form is an expression of training. That naturally expresses itself whilst running in tandem with the speed and strength gains.

RedPanic the focus wants to be on creating force back underneath you so yes not down but back.
