Hey everyone! Many of you have asked on how to create new scenes in Anime Studio or MOHO so here's a tutorial for you.
It really only involves double clicking layers and making them visible or invisible.
Switching scenes is easy but you also need to know about creating keyframes for objects and characters as well. Just remember to create TWO KEYFRAMES for every situation. New scene...One hide, one reveal. New character position? One start frame one stop frame.
Also, keep in mind when using cameras, place keyframes right next to each other for quick camera cuts and for animated zooming and moving space them out!
If you have any questions lemme know!!!! :)

    Just watched the tutorial! :) The idea of the keyframes of cameras and characters.. well.. I already do that on my animations but yeah it's useful. :D But making the backgrounds visible and invisible as a changing scene is such a clever idea, I didn't even know there was a visible option, I usually do the opacity! xD Great job man! ^_^

    When I'm rendering a video, I definitely save each scene as a separate file. But just for viewing and editing, I create a Switch Layer for each scene. I wouldn't recommend rendering that into a video, but it is a nice way to see how all scenes flow together.

Some one should just make a page of all the videos and put them there so people can learn how to use this program. Any ways thank you again for taking the time to show people how to do this and also for replying to people asking Questions. Vary cool of you to do.

    Thanks! I am so glad that I watched! I also watched the video on how to change scenes but the camera positions info was sure helpful. I didn't realize that you have to click on the element you want to change from each scene. For example- if i want to do like you did in the video and use the same character and have him be in a different spot without changing the last scene. I just kept clicking on the scene, not the element that I wanted to move but it didn't work and I couldn't figure out why. It makes perfect scene. I bought a book but some things are just not covered in the book that should be covered. I have found so far that I am using switch files a lot. I am mixing Maya 3d images with this program and it is really nice!!!!!!! i'm doing a sci-fi movie with flying ships. I make the models in Maya 3D and then do a batch render as a Tiff file- which is a series of images and put them in a folder and import them into Anime Studio and place them in a switch file. I've done this with characters as well- it is so cool what you can do with this program. Thanks for your video tips! I learn more from your videos than I do with reading the book that I bought off of Amazon. Have a great Christmas!

    Nice!!!! When making things visible/hide for the different scene, would it be easier to group them by scenes and just make a key frame for the folder to be visible/hide where needed? Ex: Group your outside background in one and inside in another; click on the inside folder to hide (which will hide all the vectors in that folder), make your scene, then make visible, hiding outside and do your scene. Verse going through each vector and click visible/hide...if I'm making any sense.

  • @Poptoogi

    @Poptoogi

    7 жыл бұрын

    D@mn......LOL! Yeah I think that would be WAY easier Tre! I didn't even think about that. The only problem I could see with that is if you're moving characters from scene to scene. I don't know if you can animate depth sorting from one folder to another but still...what you suggested would be much more organized!

  • @TreJones80

    @TreJones80

    7 жыл бұрын

    :D Hmmm...I wouldn't put your characters in the folders as you're using them from scene to scene like you did. Just the background and other objects that won't be used in multiple scenes (ie: fire hydrant, bar stools). Depth sorting...would probably be a little issue. You didn't have a lot of vectors, so the way you showed it shouldn't be that big of a deal. But, with a lot more vectors in different depths...could do those closest to the cam in 1 folder, those furthest in another with the character (not in a folder) in between: So your layout would be: DeepBkgd - Character - CloseBkgd and just go in the folders and animate the objects as you see fit (ie: walking down the street with trees passing in front and houses behind). Hide those 2 and go to the next.

    Double click your character layer and select visible to hide or show your character Aakash. It works just like how I hid the tables at 2:02 If visible does not have a check mark it is hidden and the layer will turn red in the timeline. If the checkmark is on it will be visible. Just turn it off and on in the timeline. Go to frame 7, double click your character layer and uncheck visible. Move to frame 16, double click your character layer again and select visible and they will reappear.

    Are you using a single png or have you broken it up into parts? If you're trying to rig a single image that's gonna be a huge issue. I'll see if I can make a thrill about it later. I saw a really good one but it's in Spanish. Iidnt understand what was being said but I could follow along pretty good. If I find it again I'll send you a link.

    Here's a video I found that might help. As you can see you have to split up the PNG file into separate parts like the legs arms head tail or whatever. You have to do this because bonds only work by warping an object if it's only one object you won't be able to move other parts independently. I hope that makes sense but if you wanna send me your file I can have a look at it too. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hYZ6zdKMdca6n6Q.html Www.facebook.com/poptoogi
