I started learning KeyNote school presentations and this is the most intuitive tutorial I've seen! Thank you for making this. I will definitely be using these tips!
excellent tutorial - just a little note. You don't need to leave Keynote to create the mask for the sliding graphs. You can use the tools under [format]>[shapes and llines]>and then [unite] or [intersect] or [subtract] or [exclude]

SG: "a trick most people aren't even going to see" Me: I saw it immediately and hoped beyond hope you were going to explain how you did it! So happy you went in and showed the mask! A whole new level of obsession has now opened up to me!
Thank you very much for sharing!! DO make more such videos..
Fantastic video - much appreciated!
I watched this video in amazement! You explain it very clear so it's easy to follow. I see endless possibilities with this software. Would like to see a tutorial where you use people characters and create kind of a short animated movie. Thanks so much for sharing. This really inspires me to dive into Keynote 👍🏾👍🏾
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 first time I’ve seen the power of great animated keynote presentations with a good explanation. Thx!

You are the man Steve! Thanks brother.
Great video, I learned a lot. Thank you!
Great stuff! +10! Thanks for sharing!
I just picked up Keynote for a new client and your videos helped me a ton! Coming from 10 years of PowerPoint Design, Keynote is much slower to design in for sure, lots of missing functionality (maybe I just missed them) navigating the canvas with a scroll wheel, manipulating multiple shapes at once, shape masking to an existing shape, animation copy/pasting, etc. That said I liked Keynotes layout significantly more which feels dumb cause everything was so much slower. Like I won't be going out of my way to use it just because all the little time sinks add up when a paying client is involved but if I was designing just for myself and I had the luxury to take my time then I could see my self using this.
This is super helpful! Thanks so much!
Very useful, thank you very much!

Absolutey great... thank you so so so much for every tip, im so watching every single video, thank you so so much
Regarding the layer grid you use to make the "Move In" transition not come from bottom there is a very easier way than using Screenshot and Photoshop. You can do all from Keynote. 1st step : display the layers panel (CMD + MAJ + L) 2nd step : duplicate all your grey backgrounds (so we can then remove them) 3rd step : create a white square same size as frame 4th step : move all duplicated grey backgrounds before the white square 5th step : select them all and in Format > Disposition > Substract Way easier ! :)

Thanks for this video, I learned something new today, Just to add, if you're like me who use Keynote to make animation assets for explainer video, you can take advantage with the new transparent video feature, to export multiple footage with transparent background, then piece them together in video editing software.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I didn’t know that you can do such cool animations on Keynote 🤩 now I can do cool things for my work presentations 👌 Thank you!🫶🏻
Bro needs to take his geometry classes again :) First the circle is a square, then the square is a dot, then the circle is a dot 😂 Oh god, I am not only learning tons, I am also entertained!
Very instructive presentation, thank you very much. Could you please teach me how I can get the present picture and the following picture on my computer screen when I do the presentation. It helps me to know what picture will come next!
I would like to see one of your presentations so I can see what is possible. I have worked with PowerPoint and have stayed away from Keynote thinking it was a wimpy substitute but you have inspired me to explore it. But seeing your work would help me let go of PPT as my major tool.

You can see my decks in any of the keynotes I have done at different events which are also in this channel
I like it good worke
Question...When I use the "presenter notes" view in Keynote, I am not sure if my animations work; specifically having the bullet points appear one at a time via my click. Is it possible or once I'm in presenter votes view, i only have the ability to advance the slide by the right arrow key and the entire slide appears at once. Thanks. Your tutorials are fantastic and incredibly helpful
U are a good teacher
During one of your presentations you mentioned there was a link below for good "clickers" for a Mac. Can't seem to find that link. Could you please supply that information? Thanks for the great videos!
Thanks so much. I’m relatively new to Keynote (from PowerPoint) and found this Masterclass re Animation super helpful. Thanks. I’d be interested to see if you can offer guidance on animation using Apple Pencil to make the marks on the slide, so it looks like the drawing is being created before your very eyes. I first saw the idea of Drawing Animation from Doug Neil at ‘Verbal to Visual’

That one thing I have no created and Keynote on iPad is so limited I don't think you can do it. I would probably screen record me doing the drawing and then bring it into Keynote so I would have animation of the drawing and would be able to break it up into slides or add elements on top of it.
I have seen the light after clicking on this video....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! THANK YOU!!

thanks, really need to go to the ex part espeially with transparency ..:-)
Hi, thanks for the great Video. I have a question: Can I make endless loop animations with keynote? Like these architecture diagrams that are being made everywhere with PowerPoint. Where you can see how the data flow runs between the elements all the time, for example.
