I turned my very small dining room into my craft room. Using alot of repurposed furniture to make it work for me. It's always evolving with my new interests and needs. Of course, all of my yarn is there as well.

I found an old partial board cabinet on the side of the road, brought it home, painted it with leftover chalk paint, spray painted the hardware gold now it sits in my dining room and holds all my crochet supplies. Can’t beat free! Love this video! My crafting space is in my dining room because it’s the best hiding spot from my two young kiddos. 🤣

I mostly knit and craft in my living room. I have several ikea kallax book shelves and theyre great. Ive recently gone through mine and put away my calligraphy books and tossed items that literally cant be used because theyve hardened. It felt so good putting away things that make me unhappy and to make room for something i enjoy.

I have a mega huge craft studio. We live in an old hall and the hall auditorium is divided in half..one is my gallery and the other is my huge craft space..it has looms and spinning wheels...a 14ft table..paints..easel etc. But as this video was posted I was on week 2 of a huge studio declutter. Too much stuff was crippling my creativity..I listened to a great audiobook called Decluttering at the Speed of life..and it clicked. I have paired down to a reasonable amount of supplies and the rest is trashed or the extras will go to my favorite animal charity. Its starting to look much much better..Size does not matter..before this we were on a farm and my craft room was tiny..but I still loved it.

This was awesome! I have had some interesting craft spaces in each of my homes. The house we are currently in has. ZERO extra room inside, but we bought cubbies from Ikea and put them in the garage 8 sets of the 16 cube cubbies. They hold a LOT. I had 3 of them just for my yarn craft and sewing things. It wasn't my favorite space but it was functional. I just brought in whatever I was working on... sometimes multiple projects (ok a lot of the time it was 3 or 4 at a time) and kept each on in a basket so I could carry it to wherever I planned to knit or crochet. All my stuff is packed up except for a bag of hooks and some needles and a few projects I'm working on now because we are moving. This video got me so excited about setting up my new craft space at our new house... most likely it will be in the basement but I will definitely carry my projects around the house with me too!

I do have a craft room. It was my old bedroom. I switched my bedroom to a bigger room and my old bedroom became my craft room. I also have a closet to store yarn and other things. I need to organize it better. Thanks for the ideas. I think l would like to visit Lowes and see what they have to help store things.

That's wonderful!! Lowes probably has some great storage ideas! I bet you could also find some good deals on Amazon as well! Happy Organizing! ❤️

Thank you for sharing Elise!! I am in the process of reorganizing my corner craft space and this is perfect!! And is it true that yarns should never be stored in plastic storage bags? I've always done that and haven't had any issues!!

I'm not sure about storing them in plastic bags. I have a lot of mine out but that's just because I love seeing them! 🧶🧶🧶

Not related to this video but have you ever used Yarn Art Jeans yarn? I’m using it for the first time and it’s really nice :-)

I've just seen your video on suffering from Corjio, not sure but haven't picked up any work for few weeks!! I think having seen this video has made me realise that I MUST sort out my crafting space!! I just saw a table with wheels which would make my life much better as I'm using a wobbly table that I need to pick up to move around, honestly! The other problem I have is that I live in the UK and my flat is on the ground floor which means damp. Because of this, I'm always worried to display the little animals and bags that I've made. I keep everything in sealed boxes which is not inspirational and I don't see my yarns at all. Also, what do you do about dust sitting on your lovely animal on display? As always I have loved watching your video as you are such a lovely lady with great ideas :) You are to me, a great friend. I too have a lovely special son and I loved watching one of your videos when you talked so beautifully about your beloved son. You inspire me to the moon & back, truly

Awww! Thank you so very much!! It's always lovely to connect with another momma of a special child! And I don't care one bit about dust! Lol! I figure it gets too bad I can just shake them out!! 😂 I have a little inexpensive dehumidifier in a storage room that gets damp. I got it off of Amazon for about $30 and it does a great job. Maybe that could help in your craft room?? Thanks for all the kind words! 🧶🧶🧶

@@EliseRoseCrochet LOL. Perhaps I worry too much about the dust. You're right, give them a bit of shake :) What is the name of the dehumidifier that you buy from Amazon, please? It's a very reasonable price $30 & of course you have put it to the test. Thank you so much for your kind words
