I’m realllly excited about this week’s Procreate tutorial! Little polaroids are some of my favorite things to make - you’ll definitely notice that if you’ve spent any time on my site. Now that Procreate has the quick shape tool, they’re super simple to make! In this week’s tutorial, I’m sharing how to create peeling polaroids in Procreate by applying 3 different shadow types. I’m even sharing my method for applying a trendy shadow on the top, too!

    I had the same issue! When you hit recolor, there's a slider at the bottom called Flood where you can flood the shape/layer. I also turned down my colordrop threshold which helped. To do that, grab your color and drag it to the area you want to fill like normal, don't pick up your pen and you'll see a blue bar pop up at the top where you can adjust the threshold. Hope that makes sense :)

    I tried this tutorial. I didn't have any trouble following it, but I don't know why I was unable to change the color of the tape. It worked for everything except the tape. I followed the direction. Put the little x on the tape but it would not change colour. Can you explain why that would happen. I will tag you in IG with the finished drawing.

  • @EveryTuesday

    @EveryTuesday

    4 жыл бұрын

    Likeliest possibility is that you had another layer selected when you went to change the tape color or the color of the existing tape was selected in your color palette 👍

    @@EveryTuesday I tried this again and am not having any luck.. I don't understand, I follow your directions and yet I can't get the colours to fill completely, I either get a small line around the photo frame or in the case of the tape it doesn't fill it at all. I have moved the x around trying to see if that's the problem. I don't understand what Im doing wrong. I even decided to redraw the tape in the correct colour, which worked. I have looked at your instructions and follow very closely. I can't figure out what Im missing, Unless its something happening with my app. Is that possible and how can I fix that.

    I gave you a thumbs down because you said "here is a nice brush for you, free!" without saying anything about having to subscribe to your news letter. Having to go thru several steps to discover things like that is unpleasant, and underhanded on your part. Not that I expect free things, but I expect people to be up front. What I wanted was to be able to follow your tutorial as you are presenting it, not making do with whatever, so I felt I should be using the brush you are touting. If you want genuine interest, don't trick your viewers right off the bat.

  • @EveryTuesday

    @EveryTuesday

    The brush is not essential to the creation of the outcome (there are several default options available), it's simply the one that I use and make available for those who would also like to use it. The brush is free, the newsletter is free, the color palette is free + the tutorial is free. There is also no commitment to stay subscribed - it was never intentional to be misleading in any way.
