Thank you very much. We have longer videos on Patreon. The videos that you see here on KZread are full length and you can follow them in their entirety. The patron ones are exclusive for patrons and you won’t find them here on KZread and much more detailed. If you’d like to know more please let me know or you can click on the link that I put in every video
I’m new to your channel. I had no idea you could get that much detail with water colours. I can’t wait to see more.

When you choose your colors, do you think in terms of warmer colors for highlights and cool colors for shadows?
@helencampbell

Hi Hanna. Not really. I just match to my colour chart. I find it much easier
How do you pick which of the 3 colors to use for each region of the petals? Is it from the suggestion of the reference photo + some randomness?

Im wondering what the difference is between using a Spotter brush as compared to using a brush that is longer and comes to a very fine point (e.g. Da Vinci Maestro or Princeton Neptune). TIA. Love watching your videos. Im just a beginner. !

It just makes paint a little easier to handle due to the shorter bristles but any brush you have will work fine for the tutorials
@pinkbeautytwinkle

@@helencampbellI agree. Brushes with long bristles are harder to control.
I am a new follower and enjoying doing your videos, however you mention that the free traceable are available on Facebook. How do I find them?
@helencampbell

When you join our Facebook group they are I. The media/album folders
I get mixed up with the parts of the hibiscus too. I looked it up. The male bits - stamens - are the sticks with yellow blob, the filament and anther respectively. The lady bits - the pistils - are the sticks with the pink blob, the style and stigma respectively. What I couldn't find out though, was the name of the big long stick thing that the stamen and pistil are attached to. Anyone know?

Hello, I've just subscribed to this channel, but it looks like all the line drawings involve using Facebook, which I don't. Is there another way of accessing the line drawings and other information that's needed to follow the KZread tutorials?
@helencampbell

Yes. From a few weeks ago we put them on our community page. If you go to our channel gone page and scroll across you’ll see the community tab. There are just a few there since it’s a recent thing but we will be doing it in the future. Plus all our new videos have the line drawings at the end of the video
