My color palette is quite different than yours but I loove watching you putting palettes together and how you use them 🥰 and I was tempted for a while to get the rose madder but now I'm convinced that I need it 😂
Actually, I read somewhere that Rose Madder Genuine is scented with bergamot. I think it was done to please queen Vicky. I’m not sure how true that is.

It’s an interesting one, I haven’t heard of bergamot as to me the scent is very Rose like and not at all citrus. But the Madder root is of a different plant entirely I thought. Need to investigate! 🤓

@@awatercolourist @AlyonasWatercolourCreations so rose madder pigment is made from the common madder plant, the "rose" refers to the delicate shade. W&N do add bergamot to theirs if you check the ingredients on their product safety sheet! How interesting to note 💖

Yes I love them! 🧡 There was a video recently where I mentioned my favourite RS reds from my RS palette. 🧡

@@JacquelineJax in the beginning I was quite skeptical too, as they looked like a knock off of the Nevskaya Palitra White Nights. But as years went on they proved to be stable. Also they have expanded the colours and have some stunning colours that would easily complete with the big brands. And then my opinion has changed entirely in favour of RS after Daniel Smith scandal, they seem honest in comparison and I appreciate that about watercolour brands. Shame their prices have gone up significantly with fame! But I still buy them. 🧡

@@AlyonasWatercolourCreations I feel the same way. Some people swear by Daniel Smith and I do like some of the colors but they have serious issues with rewetting, turning into little rocks on my palette and overall painting experience just is not as good as Schmincke, Roman Szmal, M.Graham and Sennelier.
