Create Line Style Drawings with Illustrator
In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating how you can use either Inkscape or Illustrator to create simple vector line art designs that could work great for t shirt designs, logos, monograms, and more. This tutorial specifically will be utilizing a sunny mountain landscape with pine trees as an example, but you can use this lesson to create any other type of design you'd like.
In this tutorial we'll be constructing the design entirely out of strokes. The benefit of creating the design this way is that you can easily adjust the weight of the lines after the design is finished. This would be a little more difficult if it were done with paths. However, the design can always be converted to paths afterwards, so we'll be getting the best of both worlds.

Great tutorials! I am having trouble on exports however. Curious to see on your next rotations if you can spend more time on export settings. Especially for a lengthy tutorial such as this one. My exports as of now have a grey wash over the product. I have no idea where that came from as it should be white background and black strokes..

Edit: I figured it out. I my logo didnt have a background color and was transparent absorbing whatever I had placed it on. All good!
I've learned the use of Ai from this channel. Really appreciate your work!
Fascinating and extremely useful! I find the way that Adobe labels the Align tools confusing. For example: When you wanted to align the pieces of the mountain (at 6:05) vertically, you had to align them horizontally! Surely the tool should say 'Vertical Align Center' and do what it says!

Glad I'm not the only one who has a problem with that! I'm so used to how Inkscape has them labeled (inverted compared to Illustrator) that it throws me off every time.
Im having trouble with the lines connecting the circle. whenever i remove the excess (ocean) lines theres a tiny bit left on the sides and im stuck in there.
you great
Please show how to do the Harley Davison bike logo
Is there anyway that I can see the demo video of your logo design online course?

Yes, if you go to the link for it there is a free lesson to watch.
Just came across your videos. I saw a vid (not yours) which showed how to vary the width of a stroke (not sure of brush or line) The tutorial went very fast so I missed details, but they were apparently dragging handles to make the same stroke be thicker or thinner in only localized places. Try as I might, I cannot duplicate that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
