Just got my gel starter kit last week and I'm already addicted to YN gel lol. It is soooo clear and when y'all say it doesn't have a heat spike, that's no lie! All gels I've used in the past have heated up on me in the lamp, but I was pleased to find yours didn't burn even a little bit. I'm self-taught and just now beginning my journey with hard gel and when I was doing my nails this weekend, I constantly heard Melissa's voice in my head saying "I'm not *inside* my gel". Y'all are such a great resource!

My girl's back again! I haven't tried any standalone gel products, but I would definitely use this to try some gels out, and mix some of my acrylics into to make new colors of hybrid gel. I definitely am going to be buying this.

Just received my mini kit synergy gel. I’m so excited guys. @youngnailsinc

I'm glad this video came out I just got my gel kit in the mail Thursday. I didn't even know how to put the pump on the swipe bottle😂. It took me a minute to figure it out lol and in that moment I wish there had been an in depth video on how to use the kit completely. Could you do a Real Time video only using the kit? Maybe a short almond french? That's what I did on myself. All I have in my YN collection is the gel kit and YN lamp. Is it possible to still get a pretty design and sculpt without the efile? I have to save up for that.

We use protein bond during prep before the base gel and we also use it after all the finish filing is done. We finish filing, cleanse with swipe and the apply a coat of protein bond. The protein bond helps prevent chipping/peeling of your gel polish color or gel top coat.

How do you clean your brushes with this product? Also are we supposed flash set after each nail and then cure all 5 for 1 full minute?

The amount of nails you can do before curing depends on your speed as well as the temperature. If it's warmer where you are working, the gel will run meaning you can maybe only do a few nails before you need to flash cure. I have an off topic question!! I don't know where else to really ask, but do you recommend using nail files as a one time use on clients or keeping them in client packs for the next time they come in?

It’s up to you. I find if my client has a file they’re going to use it LOL and I don’t want them touching their nails 😆😂 It does get expensive having to use a new file every time. I include it in my cost.

it's good for building the bail or even custom mixes. It's just a thinner viscosity than build or build pink. It's a preference on what you like to work with.😊

I’m wearing Synergy Gel Concealer Peach With ManiQ Sheer Link 101. The Glitter was a limited addition and it’s called revelation.

Do I need to buy an efile to go with this gel kit? Or can I use the files it comes with to shape my nails?

You can definitely use files to shape the nails but an e-file makes it easier on you and your wrists to remove bulk and shape otherwise it will take longer to shape.

Hey YN, do you guys think you could come out with Soft Gel products? For those of us who like very little filing and soak off removal. Hard gel had the same feeling as acrylic when all is said and done. But soft gel nails have a flexibility to it that I love being a short nail Japanese nail art enthusiast. Something similar to Leafgel Premium, Presto, Kokoist, or Vetro. This way you'd be my one stop shop for acrylic, hard gel, and soft gel products 💅🏽

The base gel is the base coat for the synergy gel. You don't need another base before the base gel.

I love sculptured Nail’s. I don’t like tips. I don’t get my nails done because I can’t find ANY PLACE in Philadelphia, PA that sculpts nail and use Young Nail’s products. She is using the YNI Gel Sculptor for all of the nails as well as a dotting tool for the marble look. You only really need to wipe out the excess gel from your brush on either a lint free wipe or on a ceramic mixing tile. There is no need to clean the brush with any solvents (alcohol, acetone, etc.) as these can dry the bristles out. Yes, everything we use in the video comes in the kit, except the practice hand, the tool used to apply the white gel into the pink, the orangewood sticks and the curing light.

I like the products but I did the hard gel several times I watched all the videos on here about it first and it burned no matter what I did even on half power

It just depends on how heavy or light handed you are, short or long nails, fills vs full sets, etc.
