“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    Dang. When I didn’t think there could be more useful information on forms after all that this channel has already provided us with. 👏🏼 idk if this has worked with anyone but the hyponychium can be “trained” and pushed back. I did this a lot as a teenager on a couple of my fingers. They looked different than the rest. Didn’t know why or what it was but I’d push the hyponychium back with my other nails and push under my nail little by little. One of em isn’t even and am currently fixing that by training it lol 😂 Anyone else can relate? No? Just me... I see.

I'm so grateful for this video because it taught me new & better ways to put on forms. This came at the perfect time, too, because I'm getting ready to do a full set on myself!! I am wanting to learn to sculpt gel nails with forms. Ive been using full coverage nails for a while. • @youngnailsinc

    Ski slope nails can be tricky! We recommend taking the nail as short as possible, like you are doing. After that, you may need to cut or customize the form to fit the nail better. Also pinching the form together before applying it can help keep the curve while you are applying the form. kzread.info/dash/bejne/jHyW24-oh7fSp7Q.html

    Hi Greg, okay so if I want to do a more curved nail.....can you demonstrate how to tweak the form so that it will accommodate this style? The reason is, because i bit the living life out of my nails when I was a kid, my nails do not grow straight out, they head straight for the sky- and so as time goes on (in my past life of "getting my nails did" back in the late 90's, I would always have issues with the filled nail free edge pointing up and looking ridiculous. So I went off the map for many years, until I discovered the Kiss glue-on nails and I pimped those for years. Until I discovered polygel earlier this year- then I went cuh-razy & studied & researched for month before blowing my budget & buying an entire buttload of supplies of both polygel & acrylic (to include a recent purchase via your website....woot woot....but i wanted to start doing my own nails so I could make sure they came out like I wanted because I am an insane overly-picky-detailed person...and then maybe taking my skills to the next level to include "clients". Anyways, sorry I went off the deepend for a min, but back to my question....how to tweak a form in order to accommodate a deep curve nail (and possibly without having to "cheat" and purchase extreme curved nail tips, lol.

    So whats the deal with coffin stilettos or tappered. I have heard the nail forms hace to be slightly slanted foward?? Otherwise it will look like planes taking off is that not true

  • @patriciagallacher6741

    @patriciagallacher6741

    3 жыл бұрын

    True,with stiletto and other shapes you can tilt the form slightly down. But as Greg showed and said as long as you follow the growth channels at the side it shouldn't end up with the nail going upwards. For example when you apply your product on the form you always follow the straight lines coming out at the sides,don't try and sculpt a coffin shape by bringing in your sides or you will find it does go up,always come out in a straight line from the sides of your nail and you won't go wrong. Also where you want your sculpted nail to finish that should be level with your cuticle area. Hope that makes sense.

  • @loyaltyasmr5449

    @loyaltyasmr5449

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@patriciagallacher6741 okay thanks yea that makes sense . i do like the technique greg explained it seems easier then me spending five minutes on each finger hoping for the best lol . but i guesd it depends on the length too right cuz longer nails will look slanted up rather then shorter ones. I like really long nails but i get scared they will go up so always tilt the form down at least a little and it does help.. But yea makeing sure the end of your free edge is also aligned with the cuticle is a good tip 👍

    We have lots of great filing videos, but here's a good beginner one! kzread.info/dash/bejne/lHZq2ZOrf7yqY7Q.html As for upward curved nails/scoop/ski jumps, we recommend sculpting but every few months, you should clip the extensions off and re-sculpt. This way it keeps the nails from growing upward. By clipping off the natural nail, you can bring them straight again.

    For a nail like this, you will have to customize your form by cutting it.
