@@nailsbylaura7349 The base price is determined by the nail tech. For that shape and length that is what she would price it as. Everyone determines their base price differently with different factors. Experience and skill go into determining that price.

I have to say, Melissa is your money. Every time I watch her, I have to go place an order for the products she uses. She's the perfect spokes person.

you need to have melissa come over more often, her dimensions and inlays are THE best - and she has such a great, calm voice thats also a plus! 💕

I was really hoping we'd see Melissa do her non-dominant hand. Especially with gel! Would absolutely love to have that video in the future! (Absolutely LOVE the jeweled look of the dimension nails this time too 🤩)

I've been doing my own nails for a few years. I'm not a professional, and didn't go to school, im self taught, but because of my health issues and being unable to work, I couldn't afford to get my nails done anymore. Learning to do them myself was such a hard process but omg is so worth it ♡

Oh and also, anyone else who's doing their own nails, I've found it easier to do it in 3 steps (when I have the extra time) I'll do my nails on 4 fingers on my dominant hand (using my non dominant hand) first, because I find it easier to do it without long nails. Then I'll do my thumbs. Then I'll finish off using my dom hand and finish of the remaining 4. It takes a little extra time. But ive found it makes the process way easier

Seriously, Melissa, I know you are totally a professional and all but you truly give me hope that I'll one day be able to rock my nails like you do yours. You are such a great teacher and a Master nail tech. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I agree with others - my heart dropped a little when it cut to the shaped nails. I'm really trying to master my shaping and that is the shape I want to wear all the time but have the most trouble with the sides - keeping them even with sidewalls but also tapering up to meet the pointy tip on free edge specifically.

I'm so happy that Melissa did her nails for us! This will help me so much!

I only do my own nails if I'm in the right mood, otherwise I try to hurry which ends up in a sloppy result. It does take me 3 hours to do them but when the plan is doing nails I have no other plans and fully concentrate on that, I make myself a nice pot of tea, some relaxing music, get everything ready and set up, send the hubby on a walk with the dog and then I start. I, too, do my left hand first (I'm right handed), I do my nail prep on both hands and then I start on my left hand again and finish it up to the point where the color/polish would be the next step. then I do my right hand and finish it all the way, including color and topcoat and finally proceed to finish up with the left hand.

Loved the video! Saved it to watched again later!! But next time can we see how you apply product to your left hand? Your tips in the beginning will really help, but I’m sure we all struggle with our non dominant hands. ❤️❤️🎉🎉

You get used to it. I usually have my nails long and whenever I remove them I can’t do things right because I’m used them. Like without nails it’s harder to use my phone and type and grab stuff cause you become so accustomed to doing things a certain way

I wish most of the video was used using the close up view. I also wish she showed us the filing at least on a few nails once designed I struggle with getting it just right. Definitely still helpful seeing her do her own nails. Maybe do acrylic next time ? I've been using that lately

I love Melissa so much! She has such a gentle tone and feels like a momma I never had lol Love this set, so gorgeous 🤍 also the background music is really nice!

Seniora Melissa just blew my mind. OMG! I'm my own manicurist, I learned to be a pro to perform the manicure I want and when I want, on my own time and money, I've been doing my own nails for at least 5 years, but I can't file my nails on my right hand that fast. This clip is so satisfying! And the whole channel, the favorite part when the ladies do their own nails! YN team, please give me Ms. Mellissa's yt channel so I can subscribe to her too.

🤏Can we see the E-File shaping after they are sculpted the next time?

The trick I use with my dominate hand weak pinky, is to twist my ring finger over the pinky, and slide it down the pinky as far as flexibly possible. I’m very non-flexible, but I find this gives me more stability and control over that pinky when trying to file or drill. 😃

I’m ambidextrous, so I personally do both hands at the same time. I feel like it takes FOREVER if I fully complete one hand first, so I do them both together. Very interesting to hear your preference! Beautiful nails as always.

@@sandrahan8239 You always have a “better” side even being ambidextrous. We just have it easier than others because we have a little more control over our muscles and movements. It’s really cool to hear how other people do nails! We’re all different in our unique ways 🥰

You are the QUEEN of dimensional nails! Absolutely love them!!! When I do my nails I do my dominant hand with acrylic and then my non dominant hand with gel. Weird I know 🤪 but I feel I have better control with gel on my non dominant hand.

I like to start with my dominant hand so I’m in the flow of doing nails by the time I get to my non-dominant hand. I do both hands at the same time though, if that makes sense lol.

I could watch you all day! I have no choice but to do my nail myself where I live there isn't any around for 30 miles, it takes me forever but they look great because you give such great tips! I like the way you clip the forms, and use the toe nail clippers to remove the gel on the sides, that saves a lot of filling!! Thank you!!

I usually have a pretty good idea of my plan so I start on my dominant hand to make sure I can pull it off with my left hand lol. And there is also the aspect of getting the worst part out of the way first.

This concealer pink gel is soooo gorgeous. I wish a had this color in acrylic. I have a bunch of pink colors but none of them are similar to this particular color. and i find it hard to mix because I don’t know which colors can make a good match.

I love to take almost everything off cause I like to check the nails of liftings or fungus a.s.o. and never had any (fungus)! So prep, prep, prep and clean your materials!
