@@POWLAX Replying here again because I realize I can ask you directly this way: Great Video Pat! A question that I have not been able to find any good resources on. How do you coach high school level teams to react defensively DURING the dodge. Ex: While Attack at X is dodging: Crease Middie backs out, Top right middle putts crease, Top left middie Floats across replacing top right. I've been told at that point former crease defender whose guy backed out needs to hold slide responsibility, but other defenders should follow their players. But then this brings the issue... the slider/crease defender's middle is opposite and away but open... and the defender who's middle took him to the crease is also in the crease, and likely closer for the slide. How do you typically play this? Are there set rules you tell players? I have always struggled how to explain and coach how to handle this to players, and I missed your Live zoom Q&A Last week sadly. Any help is appreciated. Thank you coach!

Another great video, but would love to hear your basic concepts for beating the crease slide. What are some key concepts and best practices you embrace?

Draw a slide, attack numbers backside. Pick your offense or strategy based on the guys you have. Freelance pass pass dodge offense = 21-12 Offense or Cuse Motion Offense. 2 Man Game heavy with Ohio state pairs or Penn State Offense. Methodical with step down shooters = Duke’s fade and follow.

Great video! How does this concept change when facing a 2-2-2 or 1-4-1? Is the 2 going to be another guy on the crease or the close d defending X again?

the 2 will be the farther guy on the crease and a 3 will be backside.

Could you do a tutorial in a 3 defense 4 offense situation in adjacent sliding.Preferably in a triangle stance

Do you mean how to slide and recover properly or how to evaluate the dodge to slide at the correct time?

@@POWLAX I suppose evaluating. Im talking about when the dodge is occurring and you have the follow and float that happens. Crease is vacated, and another is following topside. How do you help coach players to understand their responsibilities there?

​@@bryanogorman4565 I use the triangle show drill to teach the concepts and 3v2's and 3v3's with that specific motion to rep it out with the team. Crease player that is hot should remain unless someone else comes between them and the ball carrier. Then it's just reps reps reps. I cover it specifically in the dodge Follow Float video
