It is VERY refreshing that a broadcaster throws out these fight repeats so fast. I know it’s hardly Fury/Wilder, but this sort of promotion helps the lower level/up and coming fighters to gain or get more fans. Good win for DD. Some unnecessary punishment for DD, but he did well. He took a big over hand right that really shook him. That will make a few HW’s happy to see

The ref was definitely a bit suspect. He's already at 3 before Dubois even in the corner, the counts him out soon hes on his feet, but no complaints from Lartey. Strange, could of gone on a bit longer

Put a timer on it from the moment Lartey hits the canvas. The ref and the stopwatch are bang on till count 5 or 6 and then the ref is slightly slow from then on. Lartey was done in any case.

Don Vito Curlywurly the ref is in charge of the account for the most part. Only exception is when the fighter first goes down and the ref is sending the fighter to the corner in which case it’s the time keepers job then the ref picks up from there.

Agreed. Or any UK ref for the most part, they all end fights way too quickly. That same ref would have probably called a TKO in round 7 or Wilder Ortiz when Wilder was being beaten senseless around the ring for almost a full minute. Both refs in the Wilder Ortiz and Wilder Fury fight did it right. Give the guy a chance to prove he can continue if he stays on his feet or gets to his feet before ten.

The Fury fight should have been stopped. For one thing Fury was knocked out. The impact of his head hitting the floor woke him up. Regardless if a fighter is knocked out, rendered unconscious, even for a second, the ref is supposed to call the fight. Aside from that Fury should have been counted out. There are videos online proving that Fury was up after the count of 10, which means he should have been counted out. A fighter is supposed to be up before the count of 10 and ready to continue. Despite his count being slow, even the ref counted to 10 right when Fury was up, which means it should have been ended regardless. It doesn't matter how much is on the line, rules are rules.

Good fight. The African was very smart to hold as he was really hurt. He then cleared his head and almost turned it around. Good effort and great action 👏

What a fun fight to watch as a fan. Here's my two pennies worth: 1) The lesson is to place Dubois with fighters who are going to come for him and have a go. Makes for a good fight. As was the case here 2) This was the fastest I have seen Dubois. His jab was crisp and threw good jab cross, body combos.

Lartey graduated from the Ortiz school of boxing ... 27... really 47...

Dubois has a great jab and good fundamentals, especially for a guy with such little amateur experience. That said, defensively he leaves himself wide open at times and I'm not completely sold on his punch resistance either. If Joyce can drag him into a brawl, I feel like he has a very good chance at beating him.

Great test for Dubois, a little reckless at times, but he got the job done. He has a good punch output, a solid chin and will definitely be a handful for any of the TOP heavyweights. Well done DDD

I like DD but in a Wild Swinging War with a Real KO artist..based on seeing him back up a few times possibly hurt in this one.His chin will betray him..

No head movement, no side stepping, no knockout combos, no pure boxing skills...these guys would get slaughtered by Andy Ruiz Jr./Joseph Parker/Tyson Fury etc....

Wow - that was an entertaining fight - I love it when they were having a full on swinging fight... Dubois is such a classy fighter.

Ajagba hits harder than Dubois,although in this fight Dubois is much more accurate and powerful than before but what a fight that will be...

He waved it off a little too early. If It was Dubois down, he would have let the fight continue.

Big Dubois fan and he has huge potential but he also has a LOT of technical work to do. His cover defense on the counter is non existent. AJ and any faster, more powerful fighters would expose that in the first exchange. Chisora in 4 more fights would be smart.

Dubois is quality for his age. only 20-21 years old! AJ didn't turn pro till nearly 25. Dubois has a longggg way to go and a lot of time to improve.

he should have complained at the time not after walking back to his corner he was clearly dazed and would have been stopped in the next exchange in my opinion

Fast count or not he was out of it while standing he could of got up at 7 if he’s out of it then the ref can stop it

Michael1313 michael he defo tried and i like thay a lot . Hes got nice skills . 27 is hilariously ridiculous. Ya 45 plus . I would watch him again . He actualy bear Dubois in that exchange briefly

This vid has had loads of views in a short time, didn't realise how liked he is, definitely a boxer for the future, crazy how the UK are producing so many GOOD heavyweights

Protecting Dubois in case he got caught and stopped. Obviously they want the Joyce fight so Lartey, although not great, did have a dig on him hence the ref waving the fight off.

Bit if a 'British stoppage' there but Dubois looked sharp and had him rattled from found 2. Dubois, imho, looks the more impressive out of the current crop of young heavyweight boxers; Joyce seems to be an arm puncher, which does work to wear opponents down but if he went toe to toe with Dubois I think he'd end up on the canvass first.

Takam vs Lartey would be a good scrap I reckon. Or against the winner of Joyce vs Dubios

Dubois definitely showing improvements, imagine him in 3/4 years time. The guy will be a tank. Also, like the Video so BT give us more videos like this in future

Bob Jim needs to work smarter on his defence. Interesting match up versus Joyce which looks like his next fight. Joyce is front foot fighter and will keep coming at him, heavy handed as well.

D has a decent chin but too many risks. Lartey went for it but if he didn't keep hugging this was a 2 round fight imho

I think it's too early to tell if he has a chin or not, Larty wasn't hitting him with any particular big shots, yet he looked uncomfortable at times. We'll see.

*"Richard Lartey"* is another real deal... Hopefully he can recuperate and restore his journey... to the top!
