@@lennertcornette Its neither of the other comments explaination. Sitting down means bending ur legs and getting a strong base. Its the opposite of being light on ur feet. If ur on ur toes light on ur feet you can move alot faster but if ur planted and ur sitting down into ur stance you become very stable. A fighter who fights light on his feet is all the karate guys. Wrestlers tend have a strong base and "Sit on their stance". Also most punchers who dont mind trading "brawlers" in boxing. If i hit someone who is light on their feet and they dont move away in time they will be sent flyin but a person with a solid base wont but then again its harder to avoid the punch. For gamers the analogy is you have dps stance and you have tank stance. Ofc theres so many stances/styles you can have but usually its just a mix between being lightfooted and being solid in ur punches and ur base. I personally like to switch stances alot from karate stance to boxing and south paw even square up and do the JJ wrist control.

@@trzygowytrebacz5921 Smokers are fights you get into to build experience, depending on what the culture is like they could be completely unsanctioned and organized by gyms so they don't go on your record. I think the term comes from the fact that in the old days you could smoke indoors. One of my first fights was on a makeshift ring in a literal basement of a friendly gym. By the third round my corner asked to hold back a little, we don't got beef with their gym so there's no point in beating the other guy too bad.

Nah, if he steps back you're still good. You only really fully jump with the right leg, so if he pulls back it's just a slightly downward teep. If for the split second you put weight on his knee he pulls back, you will probably damage his knee.
