Have you been to Davis Creek CA? Mahogany, rainbow, blue, purple, needles and dual-flow obsidian in large cuttable chunks.

Really nice, you should have someone who makes arrow heads knapp you out a few, there really cool and the ones I've seen are extremely sharp.

I would take the small pieces of hyalite, clean, then place into a clear glass bowl. Place a small succulent on top, one with an orange blossom would be cool. Then set up a small UV light. TaDa!

Opal is as common as quartz, but it crazes away in time due to the water content. hyalite has to condense from silicon vapor unlike all the other water deposited stuff. PS obsidian digs are no place to take dogs where their pads get sliced up.

It's in Millard County. Just search "Obsidian beds Utah" and it will give you directions. I live in Central UT, and there are places everywhere here in UT to Rockhound. In Millard county in particular, there are multiple places in Millard County to find everything from Obsidian, trilobite fossils, petrified wood, Sunstone, garnets, topaz, and the rarest gem, red beryl. Wherever you are in Utah, you'll be able to find a spot to find different and amazing things ❤

I shape obsidian all the time from the location he was at. Just have to have diamond tools to work it. If you use too large of diamond grit it will chip the edges. Got some sweet iridescent obsidian spires I've made!

I have green dark obsidian very rare
