@@rusty7720 take it to a pro shop, tell them youre trying to adjust the brace height and theyll help ya get it squared away. theyll prob even do it for free if you buy a string or arrows or something from them. its definitely possible. ive heard others say in comes at like 5 inches and they just had to twist the loop on the bottom to tighen up those limbs but that its perfect after. maybe they accidentally sent you a string thats too long. just go to the shop, tell them you need to buy a string and get it put on the bow....theyll set it up for ya friend

so my bow arrived Monday. I’m just shooting the supplied arrows at moment just to get shooting. I bought a #45 bow since my compound draw is 28” and I figured with a recurve it may shorten up a bit making it closer to 42-43#. Well turns out after shooting bow for about 6hrs this week I am drawing a full 28”. What would you suggest for a hunting setup on my arrows. I was planning on buying some warriors but not sure what length or weight to shoot up front. Just curious on a ballpark if you had a suggestion?

@@pathfinder5804 okay I’d definitely go with the warriors and it really depends on how long you are going to cut them so let’s say 30” with 100 grain brass inserts and 150-200 grain tips a 400 spine, if less point weight and any shorter you can easily shoot 500’s no problem 👍🏻

Think watching a ton of your videos and a few others on KZread has changed my success. Thought I’d be a gap shooter for sure but turns out the more I try and I’m with my tip the more inconsistent I’m shooting. Seems I’m having better luck kinda focusing on a spot and with both eyes open kinda feeling where tip is and releasing. In the short time shooting I’ve been able to basically hit a 12in pie plate most of the time. Can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge!!!!!

My question is, do you think the Sanlida Royal X8 60 inch one piece will draw to 31" or 31.5" without stacking? I like the speed and the price, plus how quiet it is and would like to add a recurve to the stable am not ready to spend $950 - $1850 per bow like I have done with my current longbows. Thank you. Lol In some cases that’s probably true and I used to think that myself but here lately I’ve had some straight up shooters sent to me and that X8 is one of them, there’s a lot of Chinese bows on Amazon that are actually good quality and this Sanlida company has been around for 25 years and they just sent me an ILF rig that’s got a T6061 machined riser and carbon foam limbs and D97 string that blows away most any ILF rig I’ve shot for speed and smoothness and it’s quiet! But it’s their own design not a copy of a satori or anything but seriously some are really good and it’s just an option for the guys that can’t afford a premium good ol USA bow and there is a difference especially with wood bows and limb cores but even now there’s a ton of affordable options out there with carbon bamboo limbs like the latest ones I just got sent from 3rivers! The Oberon they are super sweet and cost $399! But still not a custom bow just really nice and beautiful 👍🏻

I'd like to shoot the thing before I buy it though. I don't live far from Lancaster Archery, but they don't sell Striker bows. If I do everything right on my 52# Great Plains Longbow I shoot it very well. I feel the extra draw weight is going to instill some bad habits. And I can feel it when it's not right.
