We love exploring volcanoes! We camped beside one in Mojave. That view from the top is gorgeous! Those trees with exposed roots remind me of the trees in the Olympic peninsula! Nature is amazing! I love the lava tube. It has more colors than the ones in Mojave. The waterfall without falling water sure is disappointing! See you around, take care.

The kids really enjoyed the tunnel, it was so neat being down in the ground! Yea no water was disappointing, but when traveling you gotta make the best of it :) THanks for watching friends!

Hi! I would love to visit the Craters of the Moon! The lava rocks are so beautiful! I would take a bucketful home if I could. :) How fun to stand in a miniature volcano!! The Indian tunnel and climb out sure look cool! Shoshone Falls would have been amazing in a different season. 💚

Hello friends! Yes the rocks were amazing, my gopro wouldnt focus on them, it dosent do good with close up I've noticed, lol. I am still learning all the time. Y'all would love it, the boys really loved climbing those rock, it was such fun! Yeah the waterfall could have been better, but we still had fun rolling down that hill, lol. Thanks for watching!

The miniature volcano was one of the nicest things I've ever seen. The Indian tunnel was neat. I think at my spry young age of 68, I'd give it a try. Nice video. Well, when we went to the falls, it was a little better than you saw, but nothing like the pictures was saw.👍Like 72

We visited Craters of the Moon a few years back and I really loved it! I loved walked through all of the lava tubes also. We also visited Shoshone Falls. We were there in late June and the falls were spectacular. Bummer that they were mostly dried up when you had a chance to visit. Loved your visit! 😊

Wow so Amazing perfect to watch

I can see why it is called Craters of the Moon, the landscape is definitely other worldly in appearance and the lava flows are surreal to examine. Even the lava granules that are so colorful would seem to be from outer space. Would love to go there and walk through the lava tunnels. Nice presentation.

That looked like a great day! When I was a kid, I remember finding some pumice at Craters of the Moon, and putting it in water, and seeing a rock that would float! The iridescence in the rocks was really pretty! I can imagine that the kids like the scramble out of the lava tube. Too bad Shoshone Falls was so dry, but glad there was a hill to roll down! ...Til next time...!

That was so beautiful. I remember how much we enjoyed it. We did the same hiking but we didn't check out the tunnel that would be fun. I can imagine how much the kids liked it. Great information on the hours and roads. The falls would be awesome with more water for sure. I'm glad you found a hill 😅😜. Looking forward to the next one

Nice tour of Craters of the Moon! I think it would be fun to crunch crunch on the rocks too and fun to explore the lava tubes. Too bad about the waterfalls... they look a little strange with no water, but you get to see the rock structure! Looks like you had a great day and perfect weather! :) like

Such a cool place! Craters of the moon really looks like what I think of when I think of the moon! It’s wild how many places on earth feel out of this world! We just had an experience like that Wadi Rum dessert in Jordan which felt like Mars. Not going to lie, if someone told me caves were closed for seismic activity I might have booked it out of the park 😂🌋

What an incredible area, it's amazing to see life growing in such a harsh environment. We've never visited Craters of the Moon though it's on our list. It does remind me of Newberry National Monument in Eastern Oregon which we absolutely love. Wonderful video, it looks like you had a great time!

That was an awesome visit. I'm glad you stopped here so now I can show Kristy since she may stop here in her travels in July. going through the cave was pretty cool. That would be the place to be in the summer too in order to escape the heat. Looks pretty barren there. That shiny part of the rock you were touching was super cool. Too bad about the water flow. Hopefully the falls are falling when she goes :) Yes it was barren still from the lava flow, I bet it is hot in the summer :) This is one of the many reasons we travel in the fall, lol but there can be drawbacks to that too...
