I hate seeing any plane crash, but the F-22 has been one of my favorites to fly. (Joins the Viper 90mm, Futura v3, FMS big a-10, Freewing T-33 and the Flightline P-38 that if any crash, the replacement will be in the online shopping cart before I leave the field) Like others, I can deal with pilot error, but equipment or Brownouts suck and hard to get over.

This is one of the reasons I don`t like anything automatic, I`m the pilot, I`m in control, don`t need any fancy schmancy autopilots or stabilization going on, and neither should anyone else, learn to fly and fly, job done ;)

How do you know the impact didn't make them turn like that?

Wow, that stinks! I've read quite a few customer comments on Freewing planes about the infamous 'blue box.' If I get one of them I'm definitely bypassing it.

I had a Blue Box Failure on the Rudder System luckily mine was fresh out the box and i had not flown but mine was doing the exact same thing hate this happened

Just order it few days ago ,hope mine not crash on day1.

You can rebuild it you have the technology you'll be up flying soon

Oof, no Bueno! I've heard of the 'reputation' the Freewing Blue Box has. I think at this point it compares to Boeing's MCAS system as in 'catastrophic failure'.

Freewing, very nice models, just remove the blue box, install $10 light controller, hook everything directly up to receiver and fly. I don't know why they insist on this blue box, none of my Freewing flight controllers have ever totaled one of my planes. If they are going to install a box, why not just a light controller, nothing else the blue box does is needed at all.

It looks pretty destroyed but I would at least try and fix it that way if you are able to you can still have a great jet. Anyway that really sucks I enjoyed watching it fly.

The Mr RC Sound Aspire module has a mini SD card. I ordered the additional Mini SD with jet sounds and decided to download F22 sounds from a KZread video, convert them to .wav files and install them onto the mini SD card.

Buddy, i had a blue box fail on me before on a warbird. I think freewing needs to get rid of it or fix the issue.

Did the pilot make it?

Another spectrum receiver bite the dust. I lost a jet with a spectrum receiver really sucks.

Actually it was a futaba. I put it in another jet and had problems. Finally it would not work at all. I guess there are eventual failures no matter which brand you choose.

Bummer. If you had not sold the remains looks like a new fuselage and a little hardware could have put it back into service.

How long did it take for the repairs (approx.)? Did you have to use a lot of "Foam-Tac", I heard that stuff is REAL good for these types of repairs. Would having the GYRO, if connected, prevented this?

That sucks man. Crashes are the bad part of a great hobby.

I nearly lost my l-39 because of a fault with the blue box. My rudders hard locked over

if you had a gyro in it i would point the blame at that rather than the blue box, both rudders in the same direction must have been commanded

The gyro was completely disconnected. The rudders were plugged into the blue box.

Gyros Blue Box Gadgets (i dont trust any of them) Rather be in Absolute Positive Control with my Brain and Thumbs instead...

It'll buff out. No really dude, what where you thinking flying with ANYTHING not working on your bird? If you had been the flight officer allowing that F-22 to go out like that they would have court-martial-led you!
