    Here's a tip for all flyers. I mix spare channels on knobs as a trim for aileron and elevator. I can trim for level flight in one pass. Once on the ground I adjust the control rods to match and delete the spare channels.

    A-10 flies like a trainer. The F-16, not so much. Not horrible flying or anything. But a bit squirrely on landings sometimes. Gotta be sure to put it down on the mains first or you'll loose the nose gear and that can cause a lot of damage to the intake section. I put a wood peg in the nose of mine so the nose cone can't get knocked off. Still magnets holding it. But a wood peg now keeps it extra secure. So now it can scrape in on the fiberglass nose cone and save the intake most of the time. Grease it in every time and it'll never be a problem :)

    Sometimes with f16 you think it's aileron but it's actually the elevators uneven or the rudder. Just from my experience. Cheers. Great flight.

    One of the elevator servos went out,,,manage to land it so so. Found the servo moter wire unsolder. Flew it,and then it happened again,same wire!!!! Change both elevators servos,and never have problem. Yep its slow!!! So I took off all the intake screens,so it could breath better,,,helped a little,,also only get about 2min. Of good flying time. Ever noticed when you pulled off the power and and the nose goes up!! Stopped it a little by mixing throttle/elevator mix. Finally bit the bullet and upgrade the fan.Wow,this is getting expensive!!!!

    Might have been a bit windy and gusty for trimming too. Hard to say. So I guess you just put the guts of it into another bare kit?

    I hate to tell you that the freewing 70mm is a much better flying bird and cheaper. The 90 f-16 is expensive and flys like a heavy pig.

    yeah it's not you buddy it's the freeway 90 millimeter F-16. like the guy before me said, this thing is a pig. underpowered and people having lots of issues with ESC and BEC. recommend to whoever gets this plane to rip the EDF fan and the ESC out and install an aftermarket fan like JP. other than that the rest of the plane is good. three of my friends have bought the 90mm, and they all ended up in the dirt after some flights.

    IMO, the factory is putting defective elevator servos. Mine arrived w one elevator servo w a shorter inner shaft that would sometimes engage and usually fail under load. Luckily I always push the control surfaces when testing electronics, as soon as I touched the elevator it let go. *This is not Frank's fault, there were not multiple mistakes like you say the cloud, this, that, the only one mistake, losing eye contact w the plane. Always trim two to three mistakes high, instead you looked the other way. It happens bro, I lost one, forgot to put the servo arm bolt, total loss.

    Do you fly at fields with scale air traffic? If not then you know NOTHING about it. Both clubs I belong to are located closer than 1.5 miles to a airport. One of which is located literally on the end of a airport runway. The place I am flying in this video is located 1.5 miles off the end of a active runway. Which means airplanes constantly come DIRECTLY overhead on landing approach, sometimes almost silently. Often at only 500-800 feet. As such we are limited to a 200 foot flight ceiling. SO, while trying to deal with trim issues. Frank decides to walk up behind me and shout like someone would when there is a full scale approaching or in my path, etc. Which EVERYONE IS REQUIRED TO RECOGNIZE and avoid the full scale, manned aircraft. In this case, there wasn't a life or death situation but he came up yelling behind me because he wanted to fly or some bullshit. But because of how he did it, my mind, and eyes, immediately started looking for the imminent threat that didn't exist. Which is when I lost the plane in the dark sky due to unknown trim behavior. Moral of the story, don't be a dick and walk up yelling behind someone doing a maiden or trim flight.

    I had the freewing f16 70mm. It was the biggest pile of crap I’ve ever owned. I had two successful flights before I threw it in the trash. It would accelerate to full throttle randomly or have no throttle at all. Replaced esc, same problem. I’m guessing it was the mixing controller. They sent me a new one but it was the wrong one so I just threw the jet away and moved on to better things.

    So, it was Frank to blame? Maybe maybe not. I always get frustrated when people talk to me when I specifically ask for them to give me space. Anyway, you know better than anyone how you felt and the way things turned out. Coming from someone who released a video that now has over 200k views -- EVERYONE has an opinion and thinks THEY'RE right. We only had one shot at it, they get to see all the slow motion replays etc. Take care, Nick

    Bit heavy for fishing line. Maybe use rubber tube or something to keep it from cutting and a heavy enough line to hold. Also a couple coats of water based polyurathane in gloss or satin (your pick) will make it nice and shiny and easier to clean dust, etc. But makes it look nicer, like real paint and metal would shine. Good luck.

  • @IntegrityRC

    It was mostly Frank, the crazy old pisser with a loud mouth. Unfortunately we have full scale planes in the area often since we are 1.5 miles off the end of an active runway. So usually when someone yells that is why. But all i had to do was twitch my eye away for a second and I lost it. The combination of other things going on made it a total loss situation. Oh well. This feels like forever ago now. Especially after 2020.

    Not for anything, but these jets take a lot of concentration, comments from the peanut gallery are not welcome. You and Steve work great together. I have flown with Steve and you and find I trust your judgement, the assholes behind you are no help. Jets are fast and shit goes wrong fast and you don't need people telling you it's going wrong you are already overloaded with information and alone you most likely will correct the issues, but when you have voices all around you shouting out orders how the F are you supposed to concentrate on the issues at hand? Hated that about that club.

    Yeah this plane's a pig... Looked like your neutral elevator position was way too high causing ballooning to me.

  • @IntegrityRC

    @IntegrityRC

    6 жыл бұрын

    Neutral position was set per the manual. CG was set at 118, the farthest forward recommended in the manual. But I do think there was something going on with the horizontal stabs. When trying to subtrim them they were hard to get where I wanted and were not centering very well. Things setup better and seemed to not wallow around in the sky as much when I switched the stock servos out for Hitec servos. I'm like 35 flights in now, and things are working out pretty good with those same settings. But she flew a lot better on 8S once I got a feel for the landings, etc. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fXl_ltaGitSTZNY.html

  • @fern6978

    @fern6978

    IntegrityRC Yeah something was definitely up with the stabs because mine flys great even at 123mm and it rotates SUPER scale. Shame... It looks MUCH better than it flys though ha! The 70mm version is everything the 90 should've been.

  • @IntegrityRC

    @IntegrityRC

    Even so, it's grown on me. But I fear once I get a F-15 or something. The F-16 might find itself in the hanger a lot more than in the air. Though I guess I'd have to get one to know for sure, ay?

  • @fern6978

    @fern6978

    IntegrityRC Don't get the F15... It has the same heavy tendencies. Flys better than the F16, but still a slug even modded. If you're not into speed though... It's a solid EDF.
