This is what happens when you whack hundreds of millions of pounds for players and give them extremely high wages. they won’t fight for the badge the only fighting they do is when they want a better contract, we’ve seen it at PSG, Barcelona, Man U and I promise you as soon as pep is out of Man city we’ll see the same thing. Clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern have done it right in my opinion, they’re willing to let go of huge players and their players truly give their all for the shirt.

Liverpool played around Maguire really well, literally.... one of our best offensive performance with Salah assist Diaz, Mane assist Salah, Diaz assist Mane and finish off with Jota coming to assist Salah, all our front man played a part in those goals! Great 3 points to push city a bit more, and hope Brighton do us a favor. All the best Lallana!

In fact, had it been man utd were doing things the right way, Maguire shouldn’t even be starting ahead of Bailly. Their two best central defenders are Varane and Bailly. I think Ralf had a playing style that he honestly thought was going to work before he took the job. The problem was when he got the job, I don't think he realised just how unfit the players were, and he didn't have his own coaching staff so he had to rely on Ole's staff to also up gears, which they couldn't. Then he's trying to ask the players, who are divas, to up gears, and they couldn't. He's got Phelen and Fletcher who are the player's buffers, so it seems like Ralf isn't even allowed to communicate directly with the players. He wasn't backed in the transfer window so he's basically in a position where he's got to suck up to players to try to get a team and performances to scrape some decency. These are challenges that Ralf probably shared with Ten Hag at some point, hence Ten Hag's drawn out negotiations on all the backroom aspects. United appointed an interim manager, then never supported him.

Ragnick also mentioned why he can't implement his style. The players are not physically fit and they don't listen to instructions. He's publicly mentioned it and that's what I like. Ragnick has some blame but he's just managing what he has.

Nico Schlotterbeck could be the key to playing from theback. I'd be surprised if Ralf Ragnick doesn't go for the Freiburg ball playing aerially strong 1,91m tall cb from Freiburg in the summer. Bayern want him but he has reportedly denied their transfer request. Dortmund might yet be the strongest candidate to get him tho.

Rangnick had a clear style and intention from the beginning and it started to show glimpses of it. Then the players gave up after a few matches because they didn't have the fitness for it. Rangnick then had to go back to Solskjaer's system because he just didn't have the players for anything better.

as a LIverpool fan I think the biggest difference between Rangnick coming in and Klopp coming in is Klopp was announced as the Liverpool manager going forward who had a lot of say over what players he wanted at the club and who stayed and who goes. So when Klopp first went to Liverpool, players like Sturridge, Lucas, Sakho, Clyne, Skrtel they were gone within 3-4 years because he demands so much and some of those players were getting older or not up to it. Rangnick is an interim who seems to have little imput into what is going to happen some of those Man U players are basically downing tools saying, why should I work hard for this manager who won't be here next season.
