That can be sharing a passion, craft, or heirloom with the next generation. My hope is that by showing, for example, how I cut my leather goods or saddle stitch a wallet that you might be inspired to either take up the craft or inspired to pursue whatever your current passion happens to be. Thank you. Most of the veg-tanned leather I use is from Wickett & Craig tannery, go check them out. You can buy directly from them in whichever thickness you like to use. The thread I was using in these videos is from Maine Thread Company, it's a waxed polycord about .035" diameter. For the stitching process, I'm doing a saddle-stitch or double-stitch in which the thread passes through each hole in opposite directions for a more secure stitch than most common sewing machines; very durable. For hardware and accessories, head to Tandyleather.com for some buckles, snaps, rivets, etc. I hope this was helpful. Good luck!

What size/thickness was the leather for the saddle bags?

I used 6-7oz thick Buck Harness Leather for the bags. It was thick enough to be sturdy, however not too thick to make some of the bends/folds. Cheers!
Can I ask, what leather do you use for the wallets please and where can I purchase it?

I like to use some 2-3oz thick vegetable tanned harness leather for my wallets. I get this from Wickett & Craig tannery, which you can buy direct. If they don't have the particular one available to you, you can find other sources for it, like Buckleguy.com. I hope this helps, cheers!
