thanks for the tutorial, It's easier to be understood than what I've been taught in my class
This really helped in my MBA. Thank you so much friend.
Awesome video, thanks for your work!
PMBOK 6's example (Figure 6-16) has task A's ES on day 1, not zero. Only the non-task "Start" gets a zero, but they note it as an "..accepted convention" - Great series. I like your 6 box tasks (who writes out slack for each task?)

Yeah I know they do it differently than I do. Both are acceptable conventions, and will reveal the same values for float/slack, project duration, etc. I just learned originally to start with a 0 and that’s why it carried through in my tutorials. The reason I start with a 0 actually comes from the way I draw Gantt charts, as you can see in this video: www.engineer4free.com/4/how-to-draw-a-gantt-chart . Like other mathematical fields, I label the origin of my axis with a 0, not a 1, and that’s why 0 represents the beginning of the first day for the way I do things. If you’re studying for a PMI cert, just learn and use their method. You can still use my tutorials, but just beware that ES, EF, LS, LF values will just be off by one, but otherwise all the logic is the same!
These videos are the bomb thanks E4F

Thankkkkkkkkk uuuu
Is there any software that makes PDM or PCM graphs?
Thank you broo!

How to know that the dummy should follow
whose great idea was the arrow diagram. i thought the point of engineering was to find the best solution. activity on node is so much cleaner and easier. arrow is so pointless. who would really waste their time doing that and using forward and backward path to get CP in such a messy manner.

agreed
is there a chance that the first activity's latest start is not zero? or there is something wrong in the computation if its not zero?
@Engineer4Free

That indicates that you have made an error somewhere along the way. Unless there are more than one initial activities, and one of them is not on the critical path, in that case the ES could be non zero for the non critical initial activity
thnx

No one can change my mind from using PDM for getting critical path.

Yeah activity on arrow is just weird IMO
Can you please draw the PDM network diagram and cirtical path for this problem? Activity Predecessor Duration A - 2 B A 1 C A,B 3 D B 2

That project has two terminal (final) activities. The project duration is 6 days. Use 6 as the LF for both terminal activities and then move into the backwards pass. You will end back at 0 for LS of A. Just go slow, and follow the steps laid out in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZqN4rq-sYZSrqNY.htmlsi=1gwlNeMFDTTToGIe
