Oh my goodness! Now I want to go to my favorite Chinese restaurant in my hometown! I don't think my husband will drive me 6 hours, one way, for supper. 😂😂. Another great video, my friend. It was good to see your boys playing. They brings such joy to my heart. Sending much love from Dixie. 💕

Thank you always my friends🥰🥰🥰 even my husband would will to, I wouldn’t want to travel 6 hours for my dinner 🤣🤣🤣
Some food processors have a shredding blades on them. Would make it much more easy to make more turnip cake and other shredded items. just an idea. also to drain, you can put into a colander and set it in the sink to drain. I do that all the time when I make pickles. The turnip cake looks absolutely wonderful. Wish we had those in the USA.

So happy to see all the Chinese dishes I recognize and eat often in Singapore!! Your home made 萝卜糕 looks so so good, especially if pan fried till crispy. I tried making the steamed pork ribs about a month ago and was surprised at how easy it was to make. 生煎包 is one of my fav too!! What a nice video filled with Chinese food 😋

So fun to see the different Chinese food in Japan. We don't have most of these dishes here. But we have har gao and shumai and I always ordered that as a child :) know how hard it can be finding the foods you are familiar with from your own country. Dutch food is almost not able to get. Luckily I dont mind as I don;t like it much but 'the zoute drop (salted licorice) I did miss sometimes. though you can get a traditional Dutch sweet treat very easily nowadays. the stroopwafel. Even seven eleven sells them my friends tell me. Glad you are able to make some of the dishes. Perhaps I'll try making the turnip cakes. Really wish I could get those black beans easily because the spare ribs look delicious! I never thought about steaming the spare ribs. I have a recipe that is Chinese style but that simmers the meat.

I love stroopwaffles. I live in US. How can I get salted licorice? Sounds yum. Also, I found a shop here with danish, dutch, and Scandinavian goods. But no candy or cookies

@@Kolossus03 I think an expat store is the best place to try but it is not popular abroad so it might be hard to find. Even here if I want to get the dounle salted ones I have to go to the weekly market or an old fashion candy store.

I must admit we do miss English food but hubby is so picky with vegetables and if I try to give him anything he doesn’t like he won’t touch the plate. He hates raw fish and sushi horrifies him. So if I cook him eggy bread he is a happy man.
