I’m 52 and have had really bad motion sickness since I was 5. I have to take travel sickness tablets on long haul travel but I used to find salty things helped a lot. I don’t know if you can get it there but marmite sandwiches were a godsend to my motion sickness as a child and still to this day.😊

What a fun trip! My husband and I need a weekend away so badly right now but we can’t afford it, so watching your family have a wonderful time is the next best thing. 😊 K’s picture of you was so sweet, he sees you as happy, and that’s the most important thing!

this kind of trip is my idea of a fun trip with family! growing up, my parents had to be very careful of where money is spent so trips in general were not so common. now that me and my siblings are grown and got jobs of our own, we now treat our parents to vacation trips just like this one 😄 so we can pretty much relate to that quick grocery store visit before the trip to stock up on snacks and drinks 😉 i also like the sauce plates at the fresh seafood restaurant, so cute and very in theme 😍

Also that resort and the apartment looked amazing. So much fun. Its so lovely that you guys get to spend a few days away and enjoy each other and the surroundings.

Japan seems like a great place to live, well your life seems pretty good to us. Thanks for sharing it with us. ❤

The hina matsuri decoration is so cute. I only have a smal ceramic statue of the top 2 dolls. I wish I could get arare here but never seen it. It's also great for the coating of fried chicken :) Love the sweets from the different prefectures; It's like traveling in a bag. I use the korean ramen packages (usually the kimchi shin ramen) for making an easy army stew. Always easy for a quick meal at home or when you are like camping. I always enjoy your trips :) The pool reminds me of the one I went to with my grandparents every summer. When back in Japan with my family I think I'll see if we can go to this accomodation for a night. Usually we do only day trips from the house we rent but staying overnight might be fun. A pokemon outlet!!! My daughter owuld go crazy in there. She already did in the mega store in Ikebukuro. But so expensive

I very much enjoyed your trip! Everything from the hairy scrunchie you bought, The snacks, food, restaurants & shops! All the gummy fruit candy where each specific fruit is from a different prefecture. The pools looked inviting and the hot tubs with different bath salts looked heavenly! I now want to go to that hotel with the different pools, but also isn't amazing how much you buy when you are on vacation. It's a normal thing. She buys snacks that they as a family can enjoy on the way there and the "snack party" as she said. It's usually less expensive if you bring your on snacks than to buy them in a train station or hotel/tourist area. And she probably buys things on the actual vacation place because are local to that area and are unique, so she can't find them where she lives. Instead of buying a souvenir, she buys unique food. Many people do it.
