In hydraulics or any liquid under pressure, an old hydraulic shop trick is to use a high quality synthetic grease for sealant around those O-rings,(remove O-ring, Swipe your fingers in grease, knead O-ring: Good to Go) seals up to 3000psi. For threaded components I would recommend liquid Teflon sealant in the tube. The Teflon acts as a lubricant for the threaded component. Do NOT over-tighten in Aluminum Bosses! If you over-tighten NPT threads, they are a "Destructive thread", and could potentially split a case, or head. For inserting components into Coolant hoses, just the coolant itself will suffice as a lubricant to make it easier. Rub coolant between your thumb and index finger, you will find the Coolant to be quite slippery. These are all Old-school solutions that have been around for many decades now. Old school breaks less tools, and other stuff.

@@texaseliteperformance4471 Do you have any data to show that the head cooling mod works? I don’t see anything anywhere about it. Just don’t want to spend the money if it’s snake oil

@@defi5 it’s definitely not snake oil, it’s most notorious on gen 1s. Cylinder 8 has horrible coolant flow and it causes the cylinder to be one big hot spot. This is a crossover from 4-8 to help. It mostly happens on boosted cars, but 8 ends up getting so hot it just pops, it can either destroy the cylinder as a whole or it’ll destroy your rings. It happened to me. Why I’m here trying to find a video how easy it is to install with the engine in the car. My dumbass got the engine back in before putting this on 🤦♂️

I would think most tuners can compensate for a hot #8 cyl. (richen #8 up a tad).
