Thanks! I’m trying to get back onto track with my editing process it’s just tough finding the time (and it’s, honestly, a little rough on the body to sit at a desk for hours editing). But, hopefully I can get some more episodes out to ya!

I was just wondering if you’d given up on KZread. Glad to see you haven’t. Great shooting by all three of you! Those nails would be a serious handicap for me.😬

I haven’t given up… it’s just difficult to find the time to do the editing. I’ve got a lot of stuff filmed, but I’ve got to sit at a desk and edit it for hours before I can get it out to y’all.

Thanks Jimmy - Kook and I both have been reading through the comments. As for the 360, yeah they make for some unique content. And I’m starting to improve my work flow with ‘em. Missed ya at RUCAS this month.

She's one of those lucky left handed shooters that can fully utilize the 1897 and the Marlin!! To top it all off she's definitely really good! A good student will always Surpass the master!!

Stage 3 says "hands holding water container". Looks like it was only touched. Are Kooks shotgun ammo smokeless? Even with her long fingernails, she can really rock those guns! Another awesome video Jed! Keep em coming!!

Yes, that was something that was clarified in the walkthrough, off camera. I could/should have put a “Jeditor’s Note” that it was changed to “ hands touching canteen“. They wanted to prevent people from dropping the canteen, and perhaps having it fall forward of the firing line, because that would require a shut down of the other bay to retrieve it. Good catch!

This is the first video I've seen for you in a while. So much great info! (Thank you) Kook did well.... The Student is always going to try to beat the master. Even when it causes them to shoot too fast and mess up. On a separate note... How the heck does Kook shoot without ripping off those finger nails! I still think you win in the end. Unless you have a major malfunction in a firearm.

The young Padawan will exceed the master…. Then she will become the master. Unless the master loads a bad primer or two in young padawan’s ammo….

Did you “declare” a malfunction before grounding your revolvers on that first stage (around time index 0:27? As a TO I am as generous as I can be about this rule, considering nonverbal communications as sufficient but I tell shooters to SAY something loud enough for the TO and spotters (all wearing ear protection) to hear. Otherwise the shooter may be assessed a penalty (here a Procedural for failing to reholster at the end of the pistol string) when the shooter was doing the right and safe thing. Some good stage ideas here. I am not above borrowing some. I usually shoot FCGF. I often use your stage times as a sort of measure. You set the bar high with that 22.62!

🤔 I could’ve sworn I replied to this comment right after I saw it. You are 100% correct - I should have verbally declared a malfunction! And I coach folks on this type of thing also. In this case, there was definitely some “non-verbal communication” between the RO and myself (as well as Lightfoot who was spotting in the back). We all knew I there was a problem and that the guns needed to be grounded. Yet, to your point, it should have been expressed more clearly/verbally. Thanks for the comment!

Was it my imagination or was Kooks ammo putin out less smoke? Liked the format.

Kook’s pistol load is identical to mine. The rifle is a 32/20 and will, naturally, produce less smoke than my 44/40. Kook’s shotgun ammo was smokeless.

Nope, remember “any category can shoot Black Powder”. Kook shoots in the B-Western category and just happens to prefer BP over smokeless (can’t imagine where that comes from! 😆).

You are so correct, was thinking she always shot a BP catagory. My first clue should have been the 97? Getting old I guess. Maybe I'll get another opportunity to share a few of stages again.
