Mathew Fraser earned the title of Fittest Man on Earth at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games. The victory was three years in the making, after he took back-to-back second-place finishes in 2014 and 2015. In 2014, Fraser’s debut Games appearance, he earned the Rookie of the Year award for his efforts. Known for his hatred of second place, Fraser was unsatisfied with his consecutive silver finishes, and though he won the worldwide Open in 2015 and swept his region (EAST) with a dominate performance in 2016, it wasn’t until he stood atop the podium at the Games in 2016 that he showed signs of celebration. A former U.S. Olympic Weightlifting team hopeful, with a return from major back surgery in 2011, retired from his weightlifting career and has been a CrossFit athlete since 2012.

The Body - Davis Absolute
Fraser, Bailey, Froning, Olsen, and Bridges (and more) can really reshape how people see crossfit athletes, cause they're all HUGE (not to mention the females too)

I have a huge respect for what Matt has been able to accomplish, and he totally deserves to be champion of the crossfit games... But he's talking about getting somewhere in life and last I checked he was still living with mommy and daddy spending all his time training for the games... That doesn't seem like much of a life... real life anyway. I'd take messages about life way better coming from competitors who are skilled enough to make it to the games while still holding down a full time job and earning their own living. Good luck this year at the games Matt. From regionals, I'd say you are looking pretty good of taking home the bacon again.

lol. Like I said, he totally deserves the championship and his drive to excel at "crossfit" is admirable. His best line is the cowards and champions having the same fears. Excellent.

Im pretty sure its him and his girlfriend living together now. And I'm certain from a business point he has a hell of a lot of sponsors that keep him more than afloat. Hes really grown as an individual overall.

He definitely could afford living by himself, as to why he chose not to, we just don't know. Great companies/ entrepeneurs start home-garage small anyway. Besides, he lives in Tenesse now. Are you still gonna judge his past with his parents just to make yourself feel better?
Yea nice quotes and all but dont insult peoples intelligence by suggesting there are no PED's in Crossfit. Not a hater, just a doubter

He didn't suggest they're not in crossfit. He said that people that claim he's on peds because of how good he is, have a mentality that's not going to beat him
