Those of us that are old enough to remember Airwolf no doubt have a strong appreciation for the 222B. It is certainly, to my eye anyway, one of the nicest looking helicopters and I bought it as soon as it was released.
In this flight, which is more of a test flight though we won't tell the VIP passengers that, we take a short hop from London City Airport down the the London Heliport and taking in the sights along the way.

    @@jeffreyc2074 no thats not how it works. You are removing the models by removing the passenger weight. That IS realistic. Ie no passengers…..no weight of passengers on board

    @@Dreamsofwings No, being forced to have a bad looking model is not "realistic". That's just bad and lazy programming. They should have included an option to disable the models not force them on users. Heard from Cowan Simulation on this and it CAN be disabled relativity easily so users are in fact NOT forced to have the models if they don't want them. This is GREAT news! " If you want to change it then it's as simple as editing the passenger visibility at the bottom of the interior model XML in the model folder and the med model folder. Just change the "100" to anything you want. "

    @@jeffreyc2074 sorry I am not understanding what you mean? You aren’t being forced to use them. If you don’t want passengers you take the weight out. Or are you saying you want the weight of the passengers but not the models?

    This looks like an awesome heli from Cowansim. I too remember Airwolf (I have the whole series on DVD) and I also remember when the Met Police had a few Bell 222's in the 80's and 90's. They had a huge Marconi Heli-Tele ball turret camera mounted on the starboard side, the same camera used by the BBC until the mid 80's. I think the design of this helicopter was way ahead of it's time. It still looks modern, even by today's standards. I recently discovered your channel while looking for tips on the Hype H145. Airwolf is my favourite of the 80's 'super vehicle' shows. It's nice that they added the livery but, not knocking this copter, I'd really want the exterior modelled to look like Airwolf too. Super chopper, excellent complement to 500E ! Guess what, I invested in Tobii Eye Tracker 5, now it's even better ! I'm not a VR guy, so this was a great solution for me. In a helicopter you need a good view, specially at landing I struggled earlier when I wasn't aware of the surroundings. Need to weak the Tobii settings, too sensitive at the moment. Also need to configure different profiles. ON/OFF tracking and Reset already configured to key binding, works great.

Think about it like parking your car...you don't look at where you're gonna park on the pavement, you look at all the things nearby, in this case the buildings and such. As you get closer fine tune out your chin bubble. Also, if you look out at a 45 degree angle vs straight ahead you will get cues for lateral drift and closure rate. • @WhiteHawk77

    @WhiteHawk77

    Because they are rushing for the cash porting over the model and textures as quickly as possible to get the sales started. I got their 500E and the flight model was not good, a number of issues and just as it is here and with the other releases the model is low poly with low res textures, so they are not getting any more of my money till they sort stuff out. re the visibility past the panel, are you using default viewpoints? It seems to me the head needs to be higher. If you think about the scale, your current view is only about 2ft above the seat, level with your copilot's shoulder. I understand this doesn't help with down forward view near your feet. From what I’ve read, fuel burn around 84-88 gal/hr is normal. Full tanks being around 240gal, that’s around 2.5hr of endurance and ~375nm range (assuming 140kts). My burn comes out to be closer to 120nm with full tanks with no reserves.

In the R44, even if a settling stall occurred, it could be resolved quickly and was enjoyed with a high degree of freedom, but the low output was a source of concern. I don't want freedom that completely ignores physics, but I don't like restrictions that make it feel like I'm always running in front of the traffic police. Does this device have any such limitations? I enjoyed flying like this over the river at an altitude of several 10 feet. kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y22suLeypayweLA.htmlsi=aDHEhtJ9O9az-EiL&t=122

    thank you. For example, if the rudder is operated to the maximum while flying in a straight line at maximum speed, will there be a limit on the rotation of the aircraft's axis? At high speeds, there is inertia, so changing the direction of travel is not easy. The R44 doesn't suddenly change its direction, but the aircraft rotates steadily, similar to the drift of a car. I like this because I like trying out different behaviors. Since a certain point, H135's rotation has been automatically limited to about 30 degrees. I don't know if this is the case with the actual machine, but this was a very disappointing change for me. Are all aircraft other than R44 currently like this? I remember that this behavior was also possible with the OH-6, which was no longer able to fly after the MSFS update.@@Dreamsofwings
