Selling them at conventions doesn't really allow the international consumers any more acces though does it?

For Condor, not really. Though there would be more of them on the secondary market, which would increase access to the figure. But Bobby did say for future release you might be able to just buy them for the increased price, and the points give you a discount. Unless I'm misunderstanding what he said.

I think the fact that you take the time to listen and try to please, at least as many folks as possible, says a lot for your character and awesome toy line. It's great to have a voice, and be given options through fan votes. You've had me hooked since wave 1, and it just keeps getting better and better!

Sigh.. we can & can't complain. Action Force is your baby so you can control how things go. As an inbox collector who was at JoeFest when he was offered a few months ago I missed out so now I gotta hope there are more available next year! Having a premium price for inbox collectors and others who can't attend shows who might be overseas is a decent compromise so Thank You Bobby!! I think the US exclusive part of the whole deal makes it even more exciting. Just like when we were kids when we found out how something else came out over seas and we wanted from over there. Keeping CC like this will make him more sought after for years to come.

I’m a little shocked that people who already got their figure with points even care, seems petty to me, let people get toys. I got mine and didn’t have to cut up a single figure box, the points all came from gear packs. “More toys for more people!”

Had he changed it so you could just buy it with money and no points then that would have sucked for everyone that just had enough points to get this figure and then next year if he drops another figure worth double this years figure points then they would be ass out and could have just saved their points for the next mail away instead of wasting them n Covert Ops Condor.

Back in the day, Hasbros offers where points for less cash or more cash, on top of thar, the purpose was for those who shipping the points would cost more than the figure and to spare in box collectors. That said, I have 100s of points left over, so I’m sure by the time there is another points offering I will still have a surplus. But your mememe selfish greed is what’s shocking.

I’ve been doing a lot of research into the 80s line of Joes. The mail always seemed to always be available carded later in the line.

I fully understand your point, Bobby, but doing so doesn't change anything for international customers. It was enough that the sale was proposed only outside the U.S. and Canada, and we were all satisfied.

Hmm, what if you could buy the action points themselves?

You hit the nail in the head by not being able to please all the toy collectors but man do I give Bobby Vala a huge round of applause by not changing this. But making this a convention purchase was great too because if you take the money it takes to go to a convention (plane ticket, gas, hotel, etc…) you should get this privilege to purchase without the points.

Thank you Mr. Vala for all that you do!! Points, no points, I love this company and it’s products. My wallet hates that I’m collecting a new line, especially an easy to army build one! 😅 too bad I missed out on pandora, bloody, warpath, kerak, and bone collector. 😩 hopefully I get a chance to get my hands on them. I had felt pretty strongly that it should stay with the points program only, but this is a fair compromise. Bobby, thanks for listening to the fans. Sounds like a great plan to me. It keeps the exclusivity of the figure intact.

I'm a little annoyed, but I agree that it is not a good idea to change the rules in the middle of a promotion. In the future, how about adding an extra card inside the package with an extra code to prevent copying and cheating? This way we can keep the box in mint condition for display in package or for storage and for moving.

Welp all the scalpers are rejoicing. I'll be at power con. I planning on on buying my limit. I will resell if I can get more then one at retail in the Facebook group for others that couldn't make the show. Hope others will do the same for different shows around the country. Got to look out for each other.

Didnt buy the figure, but love the idea. All for exclusives on new lines. I have my points and still and hope there is something in the future I would like to spend it on.

Scanning the points and sending the proof of purchase by email could be a better solution for everyone. It will remove the cost of shipping, it's easy and fast for you to check. You could do that at least for international customers and collectors who want to keep the boxes.

There needs to be a way to prevent people from using points twice. Otherwise someone could do what you suggest *and* still be able to cut out the points to use later.

I like the final decision. Hopefully International Customers can reach out to Convention Attendees and work out a purchase.

Not sure if someone has brought up this idea, maybe just another potential compromise: lowering the amount of points required to acquire the mail-away items and slightly increasing the price. Like instead of 20 action points, maybe 12 - 14 and then increasing the price from $15 maybe to $18 or $20? I don't know.

I think that is fair and that coming from someone who is buying figures to cut the points off the box! I have some figures on the way and I'll be sending my points in to get him soon

I'm thankful Covert Ops Condor isn't a must buy for me. But buying it in conventions w/o points doesn't really solve the international folks issue. Hopefully something can be done down the line for them :)

This is freakin’ BS!!!!! How dare you stick to the original promotion?!?! Kidding. Dude this is 1000% the right thing to do. Your modern mail away promotion is unique and you have a ton of fans and support for it. Exclusive is exclusive and not everyone will get one. I don’t have enough points yet but almost there. If I miss it I miss it. I do like the option to get it at conventions. Keeps its exclusivity. Awesome of you to come to this decision.

It's great that you're trying to allow people to be able to purchase him but I'm currently living in Germany and not able to attend any of your conventions... However hope that in the future you will just sell them via your website without having to collect all those points in the back of the packages.

Not a complaint more a critique and suggestion. I personally think for this and going forward doing something like haveing a premium price option for the item and an option to use vala points to lower it would be good. That way those that want to keep mint in box or jsut dont want to cut up their boxes can still get the figure it jsut costs us more while those that want to participate in sending in points get a massive discount on the cost of the figure

if do not mail away for the figure or are able to attend a convention, then scalers who are near a convention will be making a lot of money your fans could be using to buy your figures direct... this feels like something HASBRO WOULD DO

You could do a points system with lower items like the did with action man 5 points gets you a weapons rack 10 a weapons pack etc

I’m glad you’re not just offering him on the site. I was originally thinking you should keep it points only until you release the next one. Then offer him up on the website. I like the direction you’re going though. You’re basically allowing people who can’t attend Cons, the chance to buy exclusives via mail away.

A bummer. I was just at Chris Con. I would have popped for the premium pricing there. If I can hit another convention, then I'll go for it. But fair enough.

Probably the correct choice to keep the mail in points offer only since that’s how you initially released it. But going forward an offer of points or full price payment is best. Having option of only a convention purchase is not good, overseas collectors & those with health issues who can’t travel are screwed.

Vallaverse needs to offer online points rather than mailing in points

In my case, since I live outside the US, I need to send the points via UPS or DHL, which require very specific information from the recipient (why the hell do they need a telephone number to send a letter?) and has an additional expense is not the best. I end up paying the same 45 dollars but divided between multiple actors. An international shipping envelope is around 25 to 30 dollars, plus 15 for the figure, plus shipping back to me from my mail forwarding service ends up being around 50-55 dollars total for the figure. I would have preferred to pay the 45 for the figure directly to Bobby and just pay the shipping back to me to a third party. But as they say, rules are rules and democracy has spoken. Now to wait for the results on the Vanguard color and to place my pre-order for it!

Well, no matter what, they were going to disappoint a sizeable portion of their customer base. I happen to be in the disappointed portion.

As someone that did do the points thing, and went to JoeFest, I actually love this! This is a great compromise and a way to reward convention attendees in a unique way. Amazing! Love this compromise and I love all the things this company has been doing. Keep up the great work!!

Bobby, that was actually the best decision. It wouldn't have been fair for the ones such as myself who had to cut up 10 mint unopened boxes, that I paid $32 a piece for. Then had to fill out a mail in copy of my receipt for $15 (for the figure) + $8 ( for shipping the figure to me) along with the 20 points. Plus an additional $6 more, to have that package shipped to Valaverse that included the points. So I can have that beautiful Exclusive figure. To all the crybabys who don't want to cut up their boxes or don't have enough points, here is a solution buy more figures or cut up your boxes. Stop being little privileged babys. Exclusives are what the word says "Exclusive". Meant for the hardcore collectors. The only collectors I feel bad for are the International collects. Points or no points these guys can't get their hands on this figure. I feel for those guys. But the US collectors literally have no excuse to bitch.

maybe do limited runs with different colored Hawaiian shirts every couple of years, or short runs only available at conventions, white shirt for the points, other colors at conventions 🤔 like you can still get the original, but a limited number of an other Color shirt just for that convention, then you can say I got the joe fest 2024 variant and say, for example the comic con variant, gives it a place and a time in history of the figure 🤷‍♂️

This community had the opportunity to come together and give other people like international collectors the opportunity to get this figure but they said no. 😒

I don't think this is the perfect solution, as many people might have the money to get the figure but do not have the ability or the money to travel for a con. that being said, I don't think any solution was going to be the best solution. someone was gonna be unhappy and i appreciate that you tried to find something of a middle ground for people. lookin forward to what comes next
