Thanks MUDD for a really great reaction! For some reason “Born to be Wild” seems to have less reactions to it than the other AGT songs. Yours was the best I think I have seen of this song. You had a couple comments I really liked. One was about the building tipping over. The other was when Mel B gave her response to it and the crowd started booing her and you objected to what she said too. I agree. Courtney has more talent in her little finger than Mel B ever had. Can’t wait for your next reaction!

I totally agree with your comments Mudd regarding Courtney's shyness and nervousness prior to performing. Most people, kids or adults, wouldn't even go on stage, let alone perform ! I'd really appreciate you reacting to one of her understated videos, where she sings an Etta James song, All I Could Do Was Cry ! This song again shows just how incredible she was at 11/12 years old! I'm not too good on the computer, so hopefully somebody can provide you with the link to this incredible song.

MUDD, you are so right. When you give it your all that's the way it's done. Love it. Who else today can do a concert like the old school boys and girls have done for 50 years and some do still at 70 like Courtney can? Not too many. Courtney's rock persona is some of the best entertainment I've ever seen on stage. I don't know if it's because I'm so shocked that she is so young and can still perform better than most of the bands I've gone to see or because she really is the best ever at 14. I got so excited watching your reaction that I had to start typing before you finished reacting to her and missed half of what you said. Now I got to go back and watch it again. To hell with that one idiot who didn't like the way you go about yelling and screaming as he put it. You were way too kind to him. The Mel B comment pissed a lot of people off because she kinda set the tone for others who were easily influenced by her dumb ass comment. If Mel B had 5% of the talent Courtney has I may have respected her opinion. Nah, probably not. Please keep this coming.

Mel B's golden buzzer pick was a singer who was still in direct competition with Courtney at this time. It makes me wonder if Mel B was trying to help her singer by being somewhat critical of Courtney.

Hey Mudd. Truly great reaction and what you said was just so spot on. This was an absolutely incredible performance by Courtney. She dominated that stage like no on else is capable of doing, the vocals were sensational and Mel B was on hallucinogenics when she made her comment. If she had a critique of the song or maybe even about Courtney running out of breath at the end, it still would have been ludicrous, but at least with some possible basis. Courtney came out and just owned that song and everything about the performance and Mel B is nuts. BTW, you mentioned a couple of times about Courtney having her hand up on her face. I think that was just because she was feeling a little dizzy after that song. If you try and push every ounce of air out of you, you're going to feel it and if you watch the video post song, you can see that Courtney looks to begin feeling better as time goes on. You've done all of Courtney's AGT performances and a couple of the more uptempo covers she released as part of the 'Cover Sessions' which were designed to show her vocal versatility. A logical next step would be to finish off those remaining two 'Cover Sessions' covers, which are a little more slower paced, but absolutely sensational. You need to hear Courtney's ballad voice, because it will blow you away. No worries though, Courtney adds some of her signature grit. Agreed. If Mel B would've critiqued the running-out-of-breath, she at least would've touched on something that could be analyzed, but since she touched on something (nervousness) that didn't exist during that performance, it COMPLETELY destroyed her credibility on that Courtz evaluation.

BTW, Mudd, CAN'T WAIT till you cover those 2 ballads that Ed suggested. When she sings them, they become MUCH MORE than just ballads and every hair on your body will be standing up saluting the incredible performances! Two of my top 5, 6 all-time Courtney favorites!!! 💯

Courtney went independent in 2023 and has released 3 original songs. ' That girl doesn't live here ', ' Breakable ' and ' Call Me Back ' . All available on KZread. She should reach 1 million KZread subscribers soon.

Courtney IS a once in a lifetime artist, Mudd; you are really in tune with who Courtney is! Every Courtney fan understands what you are saying when Mel B started talking. There is no reasonable way to say that there were "nerves" in that performance on that show. Mel B is known to criticize other popular acts if they are not her golden buzzer. You are right that Courtney is becoming much less socially anxious with age and experience. But she is also quite humble, and I hope she doesn't completely lose that.

Thanks for the Courtz reaction, Mudd! Keep 'em coming! Other than Courtney running out of breath on the last note, I thought it was a REALLY good. That's why I didn't agree at all with Mel B. I didn't see any nervousness. And the running out of breath is EASILY correctable. I mean, she had just turned 14 and I bet you she will NEVER run out of breath in any performance. Ever. Agree that she was really shy when not performing, but turned into a lioness as soon as the music begins. Some other HUGE stars were really shy off-stage, like Prince and Michael Jackson, and then would turn into giant slayers, like Courtz, as soon as the music began. But I also agree that she's outgrowing some of that shyness and I don't think she'll be as introverted at MJ and Prince were as adults. In fact, if you look at her live chats with fans while she was performing on AGT versus 3 years later in 2021, it's like night and day. She is SOOO personable on her lives. She's always had that engaging personality, she just needed to become a little more comfortable in front of the camera and her interactions with others and that has happened. Look forward to more reactions, Mudd! Don't forget my suggestion of her "Piece of my Heart" performance at a Struts concert when she was 14 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqVqurBrmraXo6g.html THANK YOU!!!! 🙏

Watching your reactions and also others who show real excitement as you do is almost as much fun as watching Courtney herself. I have to admit that I have a hard time paying attention to the reactor while Courtney is performing though. I always try to go back and watch these reactions to just pay attention to you guys when I see a great reaction video. But I seem to get pulled over to Courtney time and again. But this last time I forced myself to listen and watch you only. You had me in stitches a bunch of times. Especially when talking about Mel B. The facial expression you had and then the comment you made to yourself, "Calm down, calm down" made me laugh out loud. Just found that funny as hell for some reason. You also mentioned Courtney will out grow her shyness in time. Well today she's over all that, and is now very outgoing and doesn't hold back while talking on her lives. This video I'm leaving is a link, not for a reaction, but for you to enjoy as she shares her time in a live during the Xmas holidays. As a bonus she plays some songs of some of her newer originals she was working on with another Producer/songwriter, Kevin Bowe. These demos won't make her 1st album she said but they show another side of Courtney's style. Not something to react to as it's very long for that. But the 1st 20 minutes are songs she was working on. You may want to skip the Christmas song she plays because she released the whole song on Spotify and it has been reacted to by other reactors, that is well worth a reaction by you too. This is a good video to see how much Courtney's personality has come forward with people she don't know. Her dad has said multiple times she's not shy at home or once she gets to know you. She's very fun to listen to. And love the accent on her. Just something to watch to see how confident she is and how much shes progressed off stage too.

Courtney had no problem accepting Mel B's judgement, took it, and she became better. Courtney is meek and modest and accepts criticism needed or not.

She was awesome on the performance. Mel B should have not said anything about this performance. She was all over the stage, interacting with the audience/stage presence/and also she works well with the band. LOL Side to Side.

Yet another great reaction just to let you know that the judges were told to tone down the praise for cortney as it seemed to be unfair to others but as howie was the one who pressed the golden buzzer for her he could continue to praise her that's why mel and hidey tried to say that they weren't feeling it

That's one I've not heard before. Can you point me to a link I can read or watch about that? I'd be curious about it. I understand the whole kid singers winning AGT at that point for a few years and all the negativity about it. Along with some people complaining about Courtney being put on at the end of the 1st few AGT's shows she performed on, that upset others who were not a fan. I just never heard about the judges being told to tone it down from any credible source. There was so much being said back then about why Courtney didn't win. Even the contestants had said up until the last moment they all thought she was the sure winner. My understanding was it was a combination of the hate she was getting that kept her from winning and also, maybe moreso, the voting system was something the younger people could take advantage of to vote many more times than the older people would be able to figure out how to manipulate the voting system using many different ID's and devices to vote many many times over for a favorite. Many of Courtney's fans back then were baby boomers and didn't have the knowledge to manipulate the vote and probably more so that many thought she was the sure winner and didn't bother to vote.

That would be cool. If you do find and reply back with anything and I don't reply, it will be because I didn't get notified by KZread., They are pretty bad at notifications. In that case, You'll see my name often on anything Courtney if you could let me know. So much bad info gets passed around without anything real to back it up. Often times it's just someone else making a comment and that becomes truth to others who pass it on.

I'm as big of a Courtney fan as the next person. But I will be honest. There are many who take offense at any criticism of Courtney and think everything she does is perfect. Put aside the haters as they don't count. But honest critique of her work is fine with me. With that said, this to me was her weakest performance on AGT. I didn't say hate or not like, but weakest compared to the others. I love the original of this song. To me Mel B was being honest, because without her saying anything I thought it wasn't her best. I also thought this wasn't the greatest of song choices compared to the others, and did see a less loose Courtney. As you said she left it all on the stage and did give it her all. I liked it, didn't love it like I loved the others.
